No more Smoky BBQ

Aww... McDonalds dicontinued one of their burgers (the Angus 1/3rd pound, I think) because it wasn't selling, and with it went the Smoky BBQ sauce, which is my sauce of choice for Jr. Chicken Sandwiches now. So now, it's back to the Spicy Thai sauce.

Anyway, it's now Monday, November 19th, and I'm supposed to be at EDH today at Untouchables, but I'm feeling a little bit ill at the moment so I didn't go. I played a bit of Halo 4 earlier, and afterwards I was feeling very cold and a little bit dizzy. This was at 4:00pm, so I hopped into bed and after a while I decided not to go to Untouchables today. I woke up 2.5 hours later at 6:30, stayed home, took a shower to hopefully make me less ill, watched Jeopardy, had dinner, and now I'm here.

So the shower helped a bit, but I'm still feeling a bit tired, and a bit cold. Nowadays my weeknights, if they're not at Untouchables, they're spent playing League of Legends with some people I know online - but with this dizziness and tiredness, I'd be a liability if I play with other people online, heh.

So Halo 4... occasionally I would get motion-sickness from playing 3D games - not a lot, but sometimes, and I guess today was one of those days, so it made me sick. Anyway, I just started playing it a few days ago, so I'm not even finished the single-player campaign, but I started playing some multiplayer matches. For most games I would finish the single-player before starting any multi-player, but the day I opened it, Mai and Jon were back and Jon was itching to play, so the first thing we did was multiplayer.

Today I was going to continue my single-player campaign, but when I loaded the game, I guess they have rotating multiplayer events - so this week, the featured multiplayer event was Team Snipers! So I couldn't pass it up. I love playing with the sniper rifle and it's always pretty satisfying to get the kill. Turns out, since I'm new at the game and I don't know the maps very well, I'm not very good at Team Snipers. Oh well. At least I'm still fairly okay at the regular multiplayer modes, which is surprising to me - I'm terrible at Call of Duty, but I think I can hold my own on Halo 4.

So since the last time I posted, I've discovered a new Xbox Live Indie Game, thanks to the folks over at SourceFed (Phillip de Franco's new News-ish channel). I think mostly everyone who reads this blog has already played the game at my place, but for those who haven't, I highly recommend it - it's called Hidden in Plain Sight. Anyway, it's such a good experience, I could play it forever and ever.

This weekend we celebrated Vinh's and Alex's birthday by going to the same place as usual - Swiss Chalet, to partake in their Festive Special, which includes stuffing, cranberry sauce, lindor chocolates, and a coupon for more Swiss Chalet in the new year. So once again, we had plenty of people in the house so it was the perfect time to re-play Hidden in Plain Sight, and boy, fun was had. Even Vinh and Mai joined into the action and fun was had by all.

I don't think Jia or Isaque have played it, but good news! Jia is coming back this weekend, so we'll have a good opportunity to play the game. Jia is a main advocator of Ninjas, so I think we will really enjoy it.

Let's see.. .what else has happened... oh, we saw Wreck-it-Ralph in theatres, it was really good, I highly recommend it. If you like videogames and/or you like food (specifically candy) then I recommend you see it. I think I've also seen some movies in the cheap theatres recently - I saw the Bourne Legacy, which was alright, and I want to say I saw another movie but I can't remember what it was.

Last time I posted, I said I was really into The X Factor. Anyway, it's now onto the Live shows, and I still watch it even though it's definitely not as good - but I still have a few favorites in the competition so I'll be rooting them on and following their twitter feeds.

Anyway, this seems like a good place to end this entry. Until next time!
