Steam

Happy Birthday Sister!

Anyway, so back to Steam, heh. Well, Steam, and other games. Steam's Summer sale has just ended, and this time I hardly bought anything; just Cave Story+, for $2.50. I wasn't particularly interested in too many bundles; I did download some demos though, which turned me off a game or two from purchasing, haha. But I will talk about three games.

First, not a computer game - Cards Against Humanity! It turns out that David has played it before, and the game is David compatible! Who would've thunk it? We also got Vinh to try it out, I wouldn't say it's particularly Vinh-compatible but he would play it. And we played it with Nhan, he had a good time. I don't think we'll play it too often, but hopefully we can have a good mix of people come over every now and then to have a jolly good time.

Second game - Swords and Sworcery. I heard about it a few months ago, apparently it was a huge iPhone game that was very successful, and was making its way onto PC. Eventually it was in a Humble Indie Bundle, and that's where I got it, including some crowd favourites such as Limbo and Amnesia. I'm about 35 minutes in now, just completed Chapter 1, I think. I think it was more of an iPhone game; I mean it's still an interesting experience for PC, with Mouse and headphones (it's one of those "experience" games, where the soundtrack is supposed to be a major role). Overall, it's not bad, maybe someone like David would enjoy it.

Lastly, in one of the Steam Indie bundles was a game called Gemini Rue. It's $10, or it was on sale for $6, or part of a $10 bundle. In any case, I didn't buy it, but it looked interesting so I started watching a playthrough on Youtube. I'm half an hour in, and I have to say, this game looks very well made. It's kinda like a point and click adventure game, like Space Quest or King's Quest. It looks to be a long game, with very cinematic dialogue, and all that. Look it up on Youtube if you're interested.

Anyway... I just felt kinda like blogging, for some reason or another. Cheerio!
