len duong camp and staying in ssauga
Okay, so it's 11:53 AM right now, and in about 20 minutes I'm going to go pick up David and we'll eat out and he'll come over and watch some Flight of the Conchords and maybe we'll draft and... stuff.....
So, I might as well take the time to do a really quick blogpost. There's nothing like working under pressure... I guess it's not working. But I digress. Sometimes deadlines are good. Sometimes they're horrible. But for the lazy person, deadlines are good (or horrible, depending on the point of view, haha).
I mean, one of the things that I'm known for, at least in my head, is my quick... uhh... awesome videos after events. I mean, approximately 18-24 hours after the WinMagic christmas party, I had a WinMagic SPARTA video ready, which is one of my most epic videos to-date.
And this time, after the Len Duong leadership event, once again... well, this time it was about 29 hours after the event, I have a very awesome, sweet Len Duong SPARTA video as well. I LOVE IT. I watch it like, once per hour. haha. If you check my facebook and my videos, you can see it.
It was awesome; I mean, I posted the video, and then I went to Pho night in Toronto with a bunch of people from the camp, and when I got back I got 84 new facebook notifications; 25 of them were comments on the video, 10 were people "liking" the video, 30 were non-video related (but camp related, such as friends added or pictures tagged), and 20 were video-people-tags.
And now, everytime I watch the video, I think of the comments and what other people felt like when they watch the video, so it enhances the experience for me. And now I can watch it downstairs on my xbox as well, so that's pretty sweet.
So anyway... I'm still in Mississauga, and I think I might as well stay here for the whole month of August. This weekend is Summerlicious, next weekend is Isaque's wedding (as well, I think Jia's coming back for a while?)... and then the week after that, one of my new-found friends from Calgary is coming back to Toronto for a week so I should be there for that.
Plus, we'll probably have a few more post-camp events... also, sister's birthday... also, start of August will be the Song Viet camp again, and I'm sure a lot of Len Duong campers will come, just to be with their friends again.
Wow... it's 12:01 now, so I'll probably leave in 10 minutes, and I still gotta get ready for a bit. I wanted to write about how camp was amazing, how everyone found it amazing, how it was awesome and funny and inspiring, and how we all made a bunch of new friends and great memories...
