OKAY! It has come to my attention that I haven’t blogged recently. And of course, as usual, the longer you go without blogging, the harder it gets. I want to write about non-blog things, about how I like certain movie techniques, and the way people talk in movies… but alas, such discussion doesn’t really work in a “haven’t blogged in a long time” kind of post.
So I think I will just have a regular run-of-the-mill “what have I been up to” and “what will I be doing” kind of post.
So, I’ve been in Waterloo since the start of May, and I came back a couple times… last time I came back, I stayed for a whole week because people didn’t want to drive me back :/
So what have I been doing all this time? Truthfully… not much. On a daily basis, I wake up, I check e-mail/facebook/messageboards, I play games, I eat something, I might jog, I eat something, and then go to bed. Wow, that sounds pretty gross.
I’d like to think I’m eating less and drinking just water, so that’s a start. I also like to think that me jogging is good. I should probably jog every day and maybe multiple times a day, but I haven’t been doing that. Sometimes I go walking, but running is probably better. Originally I wanted to join a gym, but then I would need a new pair of shoes but I haven’t been able to do that. So instead I just go running on a pretty secluded stretch of road.
On a normal day, I would play a few hours of Team Fortress 2. There’s something wrong with my main computer, so I use my laptop to play Team Fortress 2. Every now and then I also play a neat little game called Plants vs Zombies, which is a Tower Defense game but it’s actually a lot of fun. I usually end up wasting a few hours every time I play it, haha.
When I got here in May, I started downloading a lot of TV Episodes, so I managed to catch the last few episodes of the season for each of CSI, CSI NY, CSI Miami, Criminal Minds, Lost, and 24, so I’m all caught up. There were some good episodes in that bunch. And then now I downloaded the first week of the new Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, funny stuff, funny stuff. And of course, Wipeout… I think 3 episodes have been aired, but I downloaded 4… and for fun, I downloaded an episode of Australian Wipeout, Swedish Wipeout, and Total Wipeout BBC. I think I’ll stick to my US one :P
I haven’t actually been working on Flash games too much.. just a bit. Also, something’s wrong with my computer, it would sometimes totally freeze and I’d have to restart. Internet connection is also pretty erattic, making TF2 hard to play. And lastly, I’ve had FTP errors… I haven’t been able to upload anything to my FTP for a few weeks. I’ve been talking back and forth with my web-host but they can’t seem to fix it… :(
Let’s do a quick paragraph.
First or second week, I made Spaghetti and invited Andy over, who actually lives about 25 minutes from here. Since then, I haven’t seen him nor have I cooked anything again. I’m just eating regular things for breakfast and eating out (but small portions) for lunch and dinner. Also, saw Star Trek with Wen and friends; great movie, 10/10. Technically 9/10, but I feel generous. Also saw Terminator 4 with Wen and friends; meh movie, 6.5/10. But then again, didn’t stray far from expectations. Also, recently, went with Wen and friends to a local bar and listened to some local bands played. They say it was the best show of the summer so it was pretty good. Wen’s friends with some of the musicians… that’s cool. Also, some guy from St. Jacobs was at the SLC, and so I bought a used PS2, so I can play Persona3 here. To be honest, I haven’t touched the PS2 much :P
Hmm… anything else from the history that I should say? Nah. Let’s go into the future.
Saturday, June 27th : My friend Alfie is having a deportation party, since he’s going to the other side of the pond for a few weeks, so there’s a goodbye party, so I’ll be attending that. Thus, I will come home for that weekend.
Friday, July 3rd – Sunday, July 5th: The Vietnamese Leadership camp, Len Duong camp, so I will be attending that; so when I come home for the weekend on June 26th (or earlier), I will stay for a week instead of just the weekend. And then hopefully someone will drive me back to Waterloo after that :P
Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th: The weekend after Len Duong are our Summerlicious outings. Wen will be attending the Sunday one, so he can give me a ride to and fro that weekend.
Sunday, July 19th: Isaque’s Wedding. So I’ll be in town for that.
So I’ll be in ‘ssauga for 4 consecutive weekends, but I don’t really want to stay in ‘ssauga all the time. So hopefully people will give me rides back to Waterloo :D
Anyway, that’s it. I would post pictures of random stuff, but my ftp isn’t working… ARGHH!! So… yeah. It’s raining today, so I’ll probably eat in tonight. Otherwise, I was thinking Ribs… haven’t had Ribs since… a long time. Also Sushi! Haven’t had that in forever…
