Update May 7th, 2008
Alright! Now that I'm no longer waking up at 8:30, going to work at 10:00, doing half-work, leaving work at 5:00 and coming home at 5:15, and then going to bed at midnight... well, I've had less time to blog. I guess you're all wondering the same thing, so I'll just say it:
Iron Man was awesome.
What? That's now what you were wondering? Anyway, Iron Man was.. it was great. I can't use the word "awesome" all the time cuz it'll start to lose its meaning, but it was great. Robert Downey Jr. is an awesome Iron Man, he made the whole movie. If you like the wittiness in House or Shark, and people being jerks and stuff, you should see Robert Downey Jr. At first, I thought it was a bit cliche, with the rich guy with the nice cars and all the ladies thing, but the whole movie turned out really surprising and great. I highly recommend it. And it got 94% on Rotten Tomatoes! That must be good...
In other news... work is great! So for the first two days, I've had Jerry give me a ride to work, but since Monday I've been taking Mississauga Transit, and it's actually not too bad. Sure, if I went with Jerry I could sleep 45 minutes longer and spend 45 minutes more time blogging everyday (yeah, right), but really, the bus thing's not too bad. So nowadays I go to sleep at around 10:45, get up around 7:00, and then take an 8:05 bus to South Common and then another bus that takes me to Wolfedale/Dundas from there. Including the waiting and the walking, it's about an hour.
I get into the office, and we turn on our computers and we start programming/drawing/etc. Work is pretty casual, we talk like we're friends (since we are friends), so Isaque and Jerry are always talking about Monster Hunter or some other stuff, and we can listen to music and sometimes Jerry plays his guitar, and all that. Leaving work is pretty casual too, sometimes I leave at 5:00, sometimes I leave at 6:00, we don't really have any need to go home early or whatever so sometimes we stay late and just continue doing whatever.
We're renting a small office room and we share the building with another small company that does fragrances for food. We've got electricity and lights, and wireless internet too. Everyone else has laptops, except me, I brought in my "work" computer from home, and it's just staying there. I think this setup's pretty good. Peter has his own desk, while the rest of us share a large table.
There are plenty of places within walking distance for lunch, so that's always a plus, and sometimes we go out and drive to places. Although, that's bad for my diet, I'm thinking we'll start eating out less after the novelty of all the places wear out. We've got a Pizza Nova, a Mr. Sub, a Shoeless Joes, a place that specializes in Broasted chicken, a Coffee shop that sells Chinese food, an All-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet, and more.
This weekend we (Isaque, Duy, and myself) are attending ToJam, from Friday night to Sunday night, so that should be fun. Jerry will be there too, and Peter might drop by to visit. And then on Monday, Jerry will be in China visiting his grandparents for a few weeks. So Isaque and I will be alone on that table. More legroom, yay!
