Smash Brawl Tip of the Day: "Have fun and Experiment"
The new smash brothers is out! We are having fun with it. Had no trouble picking it up... I was in Hamilton on Saturday night until Sunday at noon, but Duy just walked into a store and picked it up around 9 or 10 on Sunday morning. Anyway, the Smash Brawl Tip of the Day is "Have Fun and Experiment!"
It's still early, there are still many characters to unlock, and lots of items to play with, so the tip of the day is to just experiment with all of the characters and have fun. Some of the older characters got better, some got worse, and there are a bunch of new characters. Experiment different strategies with different characters, and don't forget to use all their moves (B moves, smashes, charge smashes, etc). Also, try to see if you can control certain moves differently; for example, you can control Metaknight's Forward B drill attack to rotate upwards or downwards; as well, you can glide up or downwards after Metaknight's Up B aerial recovery acrobatics.
So for now, start using everyone and just experiment. Look around, see who you like best and which characters will be your main characters. I know, I said use everyone, but when you go to a tournament, or if the last piece of cake depends on it, having a main character would be good.
Oh, my other tip of the day is start now! The other day, Alan came over and we all played Smash, and Alan won a few games! He rarely won in SSBM, but he's doing well in Brawl! Then again, we're all in the experimental stages, but with practice, maybe we all can be Brawl kings, compared to the niches we had for 64 and Melee. So let's all get together and practice different characters.
(that said, my main 3 are currently Metaknight (weak but flies), Marth (strong but good), and... um... Luigi (best taunt ever), but all that is likely to change over the next few days as I try more people)
