Now and Later...

Saturday January 26th - Monday January 28th - Vinh is finished exams by then, so he has a few days off. Family vacation to Horseshoe Valley for some skiing/snowboarding and relaxing and whatever else.

Wednesday, January 30th - Going to a basketball game with a bunch of WinMagic co-workers

Sunday, February 3rd - Winterlicious - Canoe - Duy, Bao, Geoff, Alan, Ray, Ambrose

Too bad, we're only going to Winterlicious once this time. Hmm... actually, does anybody want to go more times? Okay, all the good places are all reserved, but I wouldn't mind an obscure restaurant on a Saturday night or something? Maybe I'll address this in an e-mail. I'll look over menus and see where I want to go...

Magic Bullet

I think we've had a Magic Bullet (the personal blender thingy you see on tv) for a while now, but it's only these past few days when we've started using it more and more. The other day we made Quesadiaass, and yesterday I tried to make sorbet/sherbet and ended up with pulpy pineapple juice. And today for the fun of it I made cappucino. Tonight I'll try with the sorbet again.

Flash Games

To recap, this was cursor10:

So as a learning Flash programmer, an obvious step to go further is to try to program an existing game. So here is cursor-0002.
::edit:: I noticed there's some weird bug for these cursor games. If at first you go into the stairs and end up in a place with 3 buttons, refresh and it should work then.

It plays quite similarly to cursor10. I added extra functionality, the spacebar button, but it has a slight bug, one which I could fix but it would make the game massively less efficient. For a more frantic, zergzerg like version, try cursor-zerg.

Cursor-zerg is fun. I highly encourage you to try it.

And lastly, I started working on another game, which started off with the same premise as cursor10, but since then has moved into a slightly different direction with different results. Here it is:

If you really want, here's the exe (for faster, smoother gameplay)

And since I'm sharing so much, for those who want to try something, here's the fla (flash source project file; note that it's a bit different since I continued working on it after I published it...)

::edit:: some bugs with the enemies, but nothing too major, at least not yet. And as an extra bonus, here's Everyday Shooter - level 3 - music. I kinda thought of this music when I made this game, and it kinda fits while playing. The whole "robots marching out of a factory" theme...

I really hope you enjoy it! Let me know what you think, or, if you have ideas on how to increase the game (add more variety in levels, etc), let me know!
