The Count of Super Mass Brothers

"I'm the party star! I'm popular!" ... huh? whuzzat? Where was I? Ahem.

Hello everyone! Long time no blog, but then again, there were enough comments in the last discussion that... well, something something. On Tuesday I was in Waterloo all day, and on Wednesday I was sick, and now it's Thursday so I'm back in the office, so I can blog again, bwahaha.

First, a few things to take care of... Janet Reno... well, to be honest, I don't know her thaat well either. But I think if you use the words "Attorney General" and "Bill Clinton" and quite possibly "Impeachment" together in the same sentence or paragraph, you'd be close enough and get some points. I dunno, you can check her on wiki. As for the others... well, everyone got Britney Spears (singer and now total wreck, poor Britney) and Arnold (actor turned Governor), so that's okay. Dwayne The Rock Johnson is a wrestler turned actor (or does he still wrestle?), and Jessica Alba is an actress, probably deemed one of the hottest ever? maybe? Something like that.

After my post, I thought of five other things about me. To summarize: Bao is recordkeeping - I save everything, from pictures, facebook pictures, and msn conversations. I have hundred's of msn-something-.txt files that I've saved over the years that I barely ever look at again, but I like keeping the records anyway. Just how Bao hates bad beginnings of good series, Bao hates bad parts in good games. Sometimes I'll be playing a good game and someone comes and in and I'll say "this game is awesome, except for this part right now, it's stupid and hard and so frustrating".

Bao is analytical, and also, I talk a lot in friendly poker games. A good player supposedly doesn't talk, but I talk all the time, I analyze the board and my cards and what the opponent might have, and I just talk out loud all the time. Additionally, I reveal a lot more information than I should, but I find it fun. Bao is still teary-eyed... even though I'm totally desensitized, there are still many parts in movies and all that, that, when I watch again, I still get teary-eyed. I think David wrote about this on his blog recently... anyway, I would watch something and even though I know the part is coming, I still get teary eyed....

Lastly, Bao is secretive, kinnnda... so I went to Waterloo on Tuesday, to the SLC, where the SSBM tournament was. So, when I go, I will either: Tell everyone (from Waterloo) that I'm coming, come seek me out and we can do stuff; or, I will tell nobody, and when I get there I hope I stay under the radar and nobody sees me. I find it weird coming to Waterloo, and then having people pass by the SLC and say "hey Bao! What a surprise! What are you doing here?"

In a way, it kinda feels I betray them if I come to Waterloo and don't tell them, so if I do tell them, that's great, if I don't, they better not find out or else ... well, then they've known I betrayed them! oh no!

Anyway, onto the SSBM tournament, but only briefly. There was a fun tournament at 1:00 and a hardcore tournament at 6:00. We came to Waterloo around 1:40, they hadn't started yet, so we joined the fun tournament too. It was triple elimination, and my final score was +1-3 (so 1 win and 3 losses), which... is pretty bad. Duy got 3rd place or something. Then the hardcore tournament, it was double elimination, best out of 3 per match... I lost both of my first matches so I was eliminated. First match was fun though, it was really close. Duy got like, 6th or something, or whatever... there were some really hardcore people there, people who play in weekly or bi-weekly tournaments and... yeah.

Then I played some casual games and it was more fun than the tournament! There was much less pressure to do well, and I used different fun characters, like Roy and Falcon and Game & Watch... it was fun. Anyway, being at the tournament was cool. Even though I'm not so awesome at the game, it was cool seeing all the competition. Also, Duy is pretty famous in the UW Gamers club now. Oh yeah, they had name tags for everyone, and three people's were red, which meant they won previous tournaments. Duy, Ambrose, and a guy named Justin had red tags. Now a guy named GOD? and a guy named MK0 join the ranks.

So... that was pretty much the ssbm tournament from my point of view. So that was Tuesday... Wednesday I was sick, so I stayed home... lazed around in the TV, room, Watched the CityTV movie Clockstoppers, then slept for 2.5 hours, watched Nash Bridges, and then people came home and we did normal people stuff.

Heroes is over now, for at least a little while. Damn writer's strike... that reminds me, I was watching Jay Leno and Conan the other day. Conan was okay, they played an episode that aired probably in September when the new Season Premiere's were on, and Conan talked to Jennifer Connelly about her new movie and to Fred Williard about the new "Back To You" show. So Conan was okay, repeat episode, but it was okay. However, Jay Leno was interviewing Famke Jannsen after the release of Goldeneye, and they mentioned that they were hoping that Mel Gibson would win an emmy/oscar/whatever for his role in Braveheart...

After so much discussion about Gankutsuou and Monte Cristo, I bought the Monte Cristo book and the Monte Cristo movie from Amazon. Hopefully I'll start reading the book, but we'll see, hehe. Also, I borrowed Mass Effect from Ambrose and I started playing it. So far, I'm enjoying it. The graphics are cool, the voices realllly help and pull you into the game, and the gameplay's pretty good. It's similar to KOTOR, but combat is way different and more to my tastes.

Also, I hear about lesbian sex scenes and all that so that's another reason I'm playing the game, haha. But then I learned that since I'm a guy character, the lesbian sex scene is impossible :( But I'll still play anyway, pretending that it's still possible, or that I can flirt with my female members. Heh. Hopefully this novelty lasts, I hope I can continue having fun with this game.

Company Christmas Party Saturday the 15th. Supposedly Mitch is attending a party in Hamilton after exams, but it might not be a party anymore and just a hanging out with less girls, so I might not go to that anymore...
I think we're going to... Boston this Christmas? I'm not really sure though. Although, we wanted to go for Skiing, but I think it'll be hard if we go to Boston or something. I kind of want to relax this Christmas. There are some people I want to see in Toronto but I didn't have the time.
AVP2 on Christmas day, if I'm in Mississauga still. Jia will be back then too of course.
