Thanks for partaking in the trivias! Clues have been added last night and more clues this morning, and probably another batch of clues later in the evening. You know, with all you people taking part in solving trivia, this only drives me to make more trivia... hehe. But trivia is good :) Perhaps later I'll post more of that type, cuz it's universally guessable and just uses words. Anyway, I'm hoping this wouldn't be too long of an update...
--- artist trivia
Let's get this out of the way first. This is another artist trivia, but an easy one at that. So once again, here's a song clip with 5 song clips, 4 of them from 1 artist and 1 from another, and you get more points for identifying more things: http://www.baomon.com/blog/artist-11-09.MP3
I think this one should be pretty easy, at least, that's my guess. I made it a bit harder by choosing only clips without words, but I think it should still be easy enough. I think Ray would get it, Wen and Ambrose would probably get it, I don't know David's music repertoire so he might not get it... and Alan would be 50/50. Alan would listen to it and he might say "LOL, I've been listening to this group since Grade 10 and I own 2 of their CDs, I so know who this is".
--- trivia resolve
Now, time to solve some trivia. First, the trivia nobody seems to care about... the last artist trivia, at http://www.baomon.com/blog/artist-10-30.MP3, was Eiffel 65, Prozzak, Prozzak, Prozzak, and Prozzak. From the list trivia, B was Firefly, B1 was E6-"Our Mrs. Reynolds", B2 was E2-"Train Job" and B3 was E14-"Objects in Space", and List E was just the one Disney song, "Be Prepared" from Lion King.
Now, the random 15-quote trivia. Most of the questions were solved, congratulations! I even stuck Lost S1E24 (or 25?) in there twice, hoping it would stump someone, but Isaque solved it quite quickly. Congrats on people knowing Careless Whisper, I too like that song. I wonder how many other classic or oldies people know. Anyway, I digress.
I put together this sound clip which is 3 minutes long and is made from each of these 15 clips together, I recommend downloading it. It's a good song sampler, and I actually like it... http://www.baomon.com/blog/triv-01-15.MP3. Now for the answers that nobody got (also listen to the sound clip too):
4. "How do you own disorder, disorder? No - somewhere between the sacred silence, sacred silence and sleep... soooome... wheeere..."
This one was a test; If you look down below to Wednesday the 31st, you'll notice the topic title and these lyrics share some words. This is obviously from Toxicity - System of a Down, which I sampled down below on Wednesday the 31st.
5. "The bees are buzzing in the tree to make some honey just for me, when you look under the rocks and plants, and take a glance - at the fancy ants..."
This song isn't really obscure, but I don't think this line is memorable, so I made it longer to see if anyone can get it, but apparently nobody did. This song is "Bare Necessities" from Disney's "Jungle Book."
10. "She is a sweetheart of darkness, she looks amazing in a mini-skirt, it is her party..." (almost nobody will get this)
I was right, nobody would get this. The only one that COULD'VE gotten it was David, but it's quite obscure, but maybe David likes obscure things. One day I was on David's blog and he posted a link to a 46 minute stand-up comedy recording from Margaret Cho - Drunk with Power. So this is when the guy introduced her to the stage.
11. "There's fast. There's scary fast. Then there's 'remember this moment as long as you live' fast." (almost nobody will get this)
Nobody got it either... actually Vinh got it, but that's cuz he's around me all the time. It's from the Lexus IS 350 commercial (listen to the 3 minute clip, you'll remember it now)
13. "...rub soup..."
Now this is one of those things I thought certain people might get right away. Rub Soup? What is Rub Soup? who would rub soup? Fromwhere? I thought it was 'limited' enough that it could just jump out at you. Just like how the lyrics "Radioshack" sound pretty common, however, they only appear in one song that I know of, and people I know would solve "Radioshack" right away.
So, "rub soup?" I think it only exists in one place. Firefly, Objects in Space. "What will River do next? Either blow us all up or rub soup in her hair. It's a toss-up. I hope she does the soup thing, it's always a hoot and we don't all die from it."
As usual, feel free to request full songs heard in song clips.
--- joke of the day
I receive jokes every day. Some are funny, some are not. This one I received today, and I thought it was funny enough. Enjoy.
