_ _ _ R Y _ O _ Y / _ O V _ _ / R _ Y _ O N D
I find it funny whenever someone complains about the weather in Canada. Like, we live in Canada, and we all experienced Canadian weather before, from years past, so whenever someone says "It's too cold" I group it in the same context as "the sky is blue". Is it just conversation when someone says that, or are they really complaining, and expecting something different?

Anyway, glad to see a lot of comments! That means people read what I wrote, and share the same interests as me, haha. Anyway, instead of responding in the comments there, I'll use this blog entry to respond to all the comments together. First, Wen asked if I care what other people think of me. The short answer is, I used to, but not so much anymore. Sure, I want to be known as a nice guy, happy loving and trusting and whatever else, smart, etc... but if someone thinks negatively of me, then it's a bit annoying but I can't really do much about it. Sometimes the struggle to change someone's opinion takes too much effort.
Generally, after graduating from University and moving back home, I've become a lot less confrotational, or argumentative. Especially with the parents. After a while, you learn that disagreeing with your parents usually doesn't end very well for you, even by your principles and logic you know you are on the winning side. But sometimes, you have to let things slide and just nod, if you want to stay away from punishment or whatever else.
So earlier, I would've liked to be something important to, say, David. Like, he would come to me for a good experience, not like going to Alan, but at least some good guidance and whatever. I'm trying to not sound so parently right now, hehe, but oh well. But nowadays, I assume David (and some other people) see that us, our house, is just a hub for entertainment. David doesn't come to our house for "community", he comes to enjoy and have fun. We are the mediators, and our house just happens to have fun things. It's not a rich experience, just a mindless distraction for a few hours. I'm going offtopic, but that's what I think.

To be honest, I was sorta thinking about answering this question above in more detail, but I thought more about how I was going to describe Raymond in this entry, haha. Also, it was kinda interesting to read the comments and, as I read the comment but before I got to the name of the author of the comment, I would try to guess who wrote the comment, from the writing style and content.
So after I read Wen's and Ambrose's comments, the 3rd comment... was it from Alan? Maybe.. then I read Silhouette Mirage, and I knew it was David. Comment 4... "it's only natural blah blah"... maybe David again? nah... can't be Ambrose again. Maybe Alan? I did message Alan to tell him to comment on it, haha... then I read MMORPGs, so is it Ray? Then I read "How do you kill that which has no life" and I knew it was Ray. You can tell!
Then Ray again, and David again... Ambrose's comment was hard to figure out, so I failed that one... I didn't expect Isaque to write so I had no idea whose comment came... then came the "cut corners" one... is it Alan this time? I read the first two paragraphs over and over, and then I realized... it's Ray! That jerk... just kidding. Or am I? Read on later...
"Magic Guy" is Alan... and then the last two comments were posted today so I just read those. Ooh, conflict. Now here's more! Maybe!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
So... Ray... what to say... Ray kinda covered some of it during his own comments. I would say Ray is very opinionated, he speaks his mind, and he's quick to point out flaws. He's always nice to parents and elders, might be an Asian thing, but he always speaks politely to the parents and elders with proper etiquette... but then to his peers, he's like, the total opposite. Not like, nice to parents, mean to friends, but some of the proper etiquette and neatness disappears. He talks dirt about a lot of things, he uses that "exaggerative face/voice" if you know what I mean... he makes Chris Rock and other dirty references... I don't think he's racist but he seems anti-gay, and probably anti-alot-of-things.
When we went on our China trip, Ray didn't piss me off at all, until the last day. So on the last day, I made a mistake - I didn't bring enough money to pay for the expensive dinner... so then Raymond calls me an idiot. And that made me upset. Sure, I made a mistake, but that doesn't mean you can call me an idiot. But we're not going to talk about the mistake, we're just going to talk about Raymond.
See, for me to call someone an idiot, it takes effort. I have to put in an effort and tell my brain, "I want to attack this person". And then afterwards, I would still realize to myself that calling them an idiot would've been wrong. For Ray, this is different. I think it was in his nature to see the mistake, and then the word "idiot" just rolled off his tongue. He speaks his mind, quick to point out flaws, and "idiot" just comes out, the same way we swear like an impulse. And then, since it's in his nature to say idiot, it equally makes sense for him not to feel bad about it.
So that's one of the things that I don't like about Ray. Sometimes he makes people feel bad in an instant, and afterwards, he doesn't realize that anything has changed. It's like us stepping on an ant. In an instant, the ant is dead, and afterwards, we don't realize that anything is different, but to the ant... well... he's dead.

And Ray and I don't get along in Smash. It seems like, everytime I kill him, he complains... he says I'm a Prey Sim, or he complains how I'm always going after him... and here I am thinking, "what the hell?" Why is he verbally attacking me, and not the other people? I don't know, that's how I feel. I don't think I'm attacking him personally, but he's always complaining. But I do agree that I'm an opportunist. I assume that's a synonym for Prey Sim :P But I digress.
Am I supposed to talk about his preferences and tastes? Well, that's a fairly different topic, but I'll try... umm... I assume it's Chinese music. Umm... his tastes are very different from David. Ray likes action, and special effects and cooool things.. and as I kind of said, he doesn't like things that are slow, and... well, things that David likes, heh. And if Ray doesn't like them, there's a good chance he'll attack them or put them down or insult them. If I write too much more, I wouldn't be surprised if conflicted started between Ray and David, and if that happens, Ray would overpower David and David would lose... or Dave would try to ignore what Ray says... maybe I said too much...
But seriously, from what I know, Dave and Ray would not go well together. Ray is too anti-everything, Dave is mostly soft and caringly, which Ray is not really. Anyway, back to preferences... well, let's start with a few things I know..
Ray doesn't eat leftovers. He doesn't underspend on food, as food is "important". He enjoys delicacies and value like the Summerlicious events, so he's kinda cultured in that way.
Ray likes cute things, mainly animals. This I find kinda odd, as it contradicts his anti-lotsofthings nature.
Ray likes perfection. In China, we would look at souvenir things and whatever, and he likes things to be perfect. I bought a panda toy with a string coming out of its ear. That's a piece of imperfection, and Ray would have none of it. In general, this should make sense; I don't usually buy really crappy things either, but I'm not a perfectionist. But it does make sense, if you get one of those Jade things from China, since... you're in China... you'd want it to be more perfect than not. How many of you people are perfectionists too?
Ray doesn't like Guitar Hero. That is to say, Ray would prefer to play real guitar over fake guitar. Which pretty much means, Ray encourages and promotes activities that affect oneself positively in the real world. Investing, sports and fitness, and eating "good food" are things that Ray values.
Ray plays WOW. I don't know what to say about that.
Ray hates console FPS games/controls, as do a lot of other people. But he defends his position with all his might. That goes back to "quick to point out flaws".
Ray argues. Duh.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
So... that's a lot about Ray. And that's what I think about Ray. Now, Ray will read this, and... he's probably expecting a lot of what I wrote, maybe slightly different, but overall in the right ballpark, so he won't write too much, at least, he won't write too much to retaliate against these words. Maybe he'll try to argue about the "idiot" thing, about how forgetting all our hong kong money on the last day is "soooo stupid" that it deserves an "idiot" calling, so that his decision was right, even though deep inside I know that it wasn't a decision, it was an impulse, instant routine reaction. Or is that wrong?
Hmm... that's probably a good enough place to end the entry. If I write anymore of what's on my mind, it could become somewhat dangerous... bwahahaha... now everyone's wondering what I was going to write, about Ray, and a bit about David, but that's too bad... don't bother asking about it in the comments... heehee... and who's next? :P Maybe I should do myself next...Labels: ray
