Games, because you want more
Happy Monday Afternoon, everyone, how is everyone today? I will have more trivia and interactive question-things tomorrow.

David requested "easier" trivia, but what is that, or which format? I'm thinking tomorrow I'll try more of those H _ _ _ _ puzzles. They're easy, anyone can participate; you just need to know the existence of such a show/movie and its name, you don't need to know who plays in it or remember quotes or lines; and hints are easy to give by filling in more blanks. I'm not sure what the subject will be, but I'm leaning toward... random stuff. Maybe 10 random movies, 10 random games, 10 random foods, etc... and I'll try to think of some more targgettted stuff, but we'll see.

Movie is still awesome, so I want to buy it. So we rented it, and then we went to blockbuster, and I asked them if I could upgrade my rental to a pre-owned purchase. Pre-owned it's $12.99, so if I rented it for $5, I would want to pay about $8 more. Full price is maybe $28, and I'm definitely not paying that. Anyway, they can't really do that... well, what they said is that I have to wait until I've "rented" it for too long and then it will turn into a purchase, where the extra $8 would be charged to the account. I asked if I could just pay the $8 now, and nope, can't do it, they have to wait for the system to change the rent into a buy...

This is a games update, more specifically, a demos update. I download demos all the time but many times I don't play them. I finally played a bunch yesterday.
--- Bladestorm - Made by the guys who made Dynasty Warriors.. it's kinda like that, except you manage a group of guys more, unlike before where you just manage yourself. Meh, deleted it afterwards.
--- Need for Speed: Prostreet - I got Most Wanted, I skipped Carbon, and now I tried this... and meh, I can skip it too. They promise a neat drifting system and it looks nice, but the demo didn't have it so I can't warrant a purchase. I'll skip it.
--- Jericho - This game isn't bad. It's dark and gritty and kinda creepy, and it's a bit chaotic too... you walk around with a team and each team member does different things, like an RPG... some cast blood magic, or fire magic, or have weird stealthy ninja skills and crazy sniper rifle weapons... you can switch between team members and use special skills and all that, it's pretty nifty. But, i don't think I would care much to play the game...
--- Folklore - Didn't play it, I let Duy and Jia play it. I was falling asleep around now, but it looks like a fun game. It borrows a lot from a few different games, and it looks nice, but in the end it might be a standard 'go around and beat things up' kinda game. Wen has it, might borrow it from him one day. But looks pretty good. You can play as David Nijjar! (j/k)
Demo of the Day:
--- Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction - Penny Arcade recommends it, it's been a Playstation staple for a while, and I've never played it before. After clearing 2.8 gigs of space to download the 1.6gig demo, and then deleting Bladestorm to make space for the install, I finally got to play it. (to clarify, the demo is 1.6 gigs, but the system won't let you download it if you don't have space to install; when I got enough space to download it, I started downloading another demo, and then after I downloaded them both, it wouldn't let me install (Yes, you have to install PS3 demos) because there was insufficient space to install; so after playing and deleting Bladestorm, I had enough space and yay)
So... it's a good game. It's pretty, it runs smooth, colours and nice and pretty and vibrant. Gameplay is pretty standard, can't go wrong with the 3d platformer shooting stuff formula, nothing groundbreaking, and just a bit of variety here and there keeps it from being too boring. It is an Everyone 10+ game, so everything is pretty mild, but it's still good stuff. That said, it's still a bit plain, but I'm sure I'll get enough hours of fun from it. However, not going to purchase it yet; other great games coming out, no time for it... so I'll be on the lookout for a cheaper price. It's not a priority, but it could provide some good fun.
