So I'm hoping that previous posts still get comments... lemme check... in order of most recent, not including this one (duh), we have, 1, 2, 6, and 0 comments, which is okay, I guess..
--- Replenish
So after I exercised yesterday, there was a 40-second snippet on why the recovery drink is good... apparently right after you exercise, there's a window of about an hour where your muscles are open and ready to receive nutrients, in which time you should drink said recovery drink to get the most out of the workout. I suppose that means all that vitamin E and C gets absorbed by the muscles during that time, so it should be okay.

So I mentioned getting the 30Rock DVD boxset... so I did get it. Whenever something is on my mind for too long, I might as well go out and get it, so I did, yay. But I did manage to resist getting Stranglehold... apparently I don't want it that much, heh. Good good.
Halo Party this weekend. Worst case scenario, Eric's coming and Ambrose will bring a controller and we'll have 2 xboxes with halos and 6 controllers. Mid-case scenario, we'll have 9 controllers but still only two xboxes with halos... best case scenario we'll have 12 controllers and 3xboxes and 3 halos, and that would be awesome.
After talking with Isaque, I made this page which houses over 300 screenshots from Halo parties and more: Halo Page
Everyday Shooter is still good, haven't played it in half a week though... I finally got to the last level, haven't beaten it yet though. Man, I really love this game, really well made and each level has its fun quirks and combos... well, not level 4, that level's just mean... haha... but each level has its own mood and that's pretty cool. And some of the unlockable effects are pretty cool too.
We got Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock on Monday, and I've been playing it daily and now I'm about 11 songs from completing it (on Hard; Vinh's doing Expert). First, the negatives: Startup and Loading times; there's many more screens during startup as well as a loading screen, and there are longer wait times now. At first, the graphics of the guitar and notes and stuff, I didn't like it... it just didn't have the same feel. But whatever, I've grown to it, so it's alright now.
As for goodness or comments... the graphics are nicer, I mean, the models and all that. The shop is better, more things to buy, more customization to how your character looks, etc... and now for the game. The game is pretty good, can't complain. Just like how GH2 felt differently from GH1, GH3 feels different from GH2, with many genres and songs and new venues and cutscenes and all that. Unlike 80's edition, which was too much like GH2 but worse and only 1 sorta-genre-thing... so long story short, GH3 is its own game.
So the game's pretty good, I'm liking it. I'm so much more familiar with GH2 songs, so I can't compare song lists too much yet...

No trivia today. Instead, I'm following up on what I said last update, about how I can use these trivias to, sort of, advertise new artists to the readers of this blog. Today's new artist is System of a Down.
This is rather odd; I only have two of their songs on my computer, and in total, I've probably only heard 3 of their songs. I would never go to a concert with them or probably never buy a cd. Needless to say, they're far from favourite. But I do like this one song (the other song that I kiiinda like ("Sugar") is only because I saw a well-made Trigun Anime-Music-Video featuring the song).
This song, "Toxicity", I think, is their only song that made it to public radio and music video stations... they have a bunch of other music videos, but they don't play on regular times on music-video stations or on regular radio channels. Most of their other stuff is.. rougher, louder, angrier, filled with more swear words or non-understandable growling. That said, I find it odd that I'm previewing this song.

And the other day I was thinking about the group... I find myself to be a very normal person, so I wonder if it's hard to keep up an image of being a total badass or death-inducing goth zombie punk or whatever, if you're not like that in real life... you know, how Marilyn Manson is a total creepazoid in his videos, yet I've seen him in interviews and he seems like a normal and very smart person... ? sentence over?
So the lead singer... in the music video for this song, he seems like a normal person at times, and sometimes he's a crazy acting person but still normal... ya know? (in other music videos, like "Sugar", he's just a scary person overall)... sentence... over?
So that's it. It's a weird song, with alternating peaceful and loudness, which... I like, every once in a while. I don't think much of you will like it, but you'll download it anyway to check it out, right? mmaaybee...Labels: toxicity
