April 21st Party - Blog Post
Okay, it’s Monday now! Haven’t posted a new update for 12 days, didn’t have anything to post… I wanted to post on Friday about a few flash games I’ve been working on, but well, I didn’t. I think I’ll save the flash games for another update, and instead I’ll blog about other things, including the things that have happened on the weekend.
This could become a really long post, so I think I’ll do what I did a few blog posts ago, and have small thumbnails that lead to html pages with more pictures and a lot of text to go along with it. I did, after all, take 75-150 pictures on Saturday/Sunday. Sure, many of them have no people and are just pictures of walls and desks and whatever (so they make good wallpapers), but hey, pics are free, I have lots of space, so I just clicked away.
So, it’s Monday afternoon/night now… Heroes is coming back today! But we’re going to go pick up Duy from Waterloo soon… I guess I’ll tape Heroes, 24, Drive, and CSI Miami tonight… speaking of which, I saw Drive, heh.
Click for more about Drive, starring Nathan Fillion (Malcolm Reynolds on Firefly) and written by Tim Minear (also worked on Firefly)
Anyway, this weekend was a party! Wen was coming to visit, so as usual, I decided to make it a big event. Most of the people are done exams or finishing exams on Saturday, some had exams so they couldn’t come, and some are having exams this week but they managed to show up anyway. In total, there were 13 people: Bao, Vinh, Wen, Alan, Ambrose, Isaque, Ray, Eric, Jia, Rama, Mitch, and Allen, another Mcmasterian. As I said, I will split this post into multiple pages, so click on each event to read more about it and see more pictures.
First, here’s a bunch of miscellaneous party pictures – pictures of people, people playing, etc. Click on the picture below to see a dozen other pictures.
So the party started Saturday afternoon. Wen showed up at exactly 1:30, and we (Wen, Vinh and I) started off with Guitar Hero. Later Alan and Ray showed up, and we played other games, like Find Mii. And then we played some Mario Kart.
Montana – Ambrose, Ray, Eric, Alan, Vinh, Wen, Mitch, and I went to Montana’s for dinner on Saturday. Click for details.
Guitar Hero – As usual, a party with Wen is a party with at least some Guitar Hero. Read on about some more Guitar hero stories.
Sleepover – Everyone except Eric, Ray, Alan, and Ambrose – chronicling the events that happened that night, including Gears of War and a bit about Super Paper Mario.
Green Apron – Us 7 people went to Green Apron for breakfast again. I didn’t feel like eggs and toast, nor my new favourite, the classic poached egg on an English muffin. So instead I went extravagant and…
24 wallpapers – As I said, I took upwards of 200 pictures this weekend, a lot of it being pics of non-people. So, for fun, I’ve handpicked 24 pictures, without editing (except for size), that might be suitable for wallpapers, or otherwise look cool (with nice angles and textures and composition and all that, without photoshopping).
And, that’s it! It’s Duy’s birthday on the 26th, not sure when/if he’s having a party. Wen is paintballing in Stratford on Saturday the 28th – not sure what I’m doing then. Weekend after is Spiderman 3 and maybe another get-together. Weather’s nice again (except this afternoon, when it was all wet and windy)… we should do the tennis gatherings again? A little bit of real tennis, then back home for some wii tennis, and then some outrageous mario tennis? Eh? EH??
