24 Fireflying Guitars
(I posted an old math problem in the morning, so if you’re interested in that, check the post below this one)
Today was one of those very regular, very relaxing days. Duy et. al didn’t come home this weekend, and I didn’t go to any parties nor held my own. But, I managed to have some company, and we ‘accomplished’ a few things.
David came over a bit past noon, with the intention to watch Firefly. Firefly was able to instantly capture our hearts, except it didn’t totally do it for David. But anyway, I got him to watch my favourite episode, Episode 6, Our Mrs. Reynolds. Now he’s seen, in order, episode 8, then episode 7, then episode 6! =P
He made a brief mention on his LJ about it, you can check it if you like, but overall, I think he liked it. Anyway, I’m done bugging him about Firefly so I won’t suggest him to watch certain episodes anymore, but after he watched it he asked if I can make a copy of the dvds, which is a good sign. Then he can watch it from the beginning, and maybe he’ll get more enjoyment out of the episodes that I didn’t like.
Afterwards, we played a tiny bit of Guitar Hero 2, and then he had to go for his job interview. After he left, I continued to play GH2 for a couple hours, and I finally beat that expert song that was giving me trouble. Also, recently Wen enlightened me about the ‘white’ notes, and I’ll just say it opened up a whole new level of fun. I’m now able to hit more notes than before, and it feels so… exciting, and also so… light? Because you just have to hit the fret buttons and not the strummer, so it feels… well, it just feels good.
After dinner, Alan came over, with the intention of watching “24”. I downloaded season 5 because I really liked it, so we watched some of that. Apparently I missed the first 4 episodes, so it kinda was a new experience for me (although I know what happens after the 4th episode). Alan had to leave half-way through episode 4, so it’s quite a big cliffhanger. I think he says he’s free Monday night, so we’ll continue the adventure then.
Anyways, Guitar Hero beckons! FREEYYAA!!!
