Wonderful weekend in Hammy
Well, that was a wonderful weekend! So, this post is going to be a long, process-like account of what happened this weekend. It started on Friday, where I started playing Warioware for the wii. If you want to read more about Warioware (and I know you do), check the other blog, thanks.
Anyway, let’s go back a bit more… Wednesday, traded in Mario sunshine, Xbox Music Mixer and Something Something Pro Paintball for Lost Planet, and bought Warioware for the wii. Thursday, my friend Michelle from McMaster VSA invites me to a party on Saturday. Friday, I discuss with Isaque about going to Jia in Hammy for his birthday, so he agrees. So I decide to take advantage of this and attend the MVSA party. Long story short, Isaque cancels on me, but I already decided I would go, so on Saturday afternoon, got to Clarkson GO, and went down to Hamilton.
Before I went, I called Jia and Rama, but neither of them picked up. They said they were going to lunch with Mitch, but I expected them to be back by then, but oh well. Hopefully they’ll be back by the time I get to McMaster. So I take the Go train/bus to Hamilton Go, and then I get on a Hammy bus that goes to the University.
Lo and behold, a bit later, I see Rama, Jia, and Mitch get on the bus! Score! So that was awesome. Jia thought he was too late, but he was just on time. So, we get to Mac, I get to Jia’s place, play God of War, eat food, and watch Avatar. I’m a Ninja Gaiden / Devil May Cry person, so God of War did fit into the game type that I like. I could consider buying it…
Anyway, then comes dinner at commons with Rama, ate stuff, and then they pointed me toward my destination, and I started walking. Party started at 9:00, I aimed for 10:00, it was a 25 minute walk and I got there at 9:55. Still a bit early, still not a lot of people, but it was quite mellow at the beginning.
This party had everything, except for sex and fighting. People danced, played videogames, drank, smoked, played poker, ate, passed out, played magic, had philosophical discussions about law and god, and overall had a good time. Yeah, the magic thing seemed out of place… I think one of the roommates, Jenny, she was white and she invited a few white friends. I don’t mean to separate them, but obviously they didn’t know us VSA so well so they sorta did their own thing. We did mingle with them a bit. But they’re the ones playing magic.

They were playing weird extended decks, but I think they’re not so good. This guy didn’t know about summoning sickness, and this guy had an interesting morph deck with some synergies, and also a few glory seekers. Anyway, I found out a few of my friends are actually quite nerdy, no offense, hah. They used to play magic too, and they play WOW. I never knew that! Annnyyywway…
The TV was mostly used for Guitar Hero, Mario Kart, and DDR. The drinks… were mixed drinks. There was one which was Orange Crush and vodka, another which was 7-UP and vodka, and the last was rum and coke. I started with some of the OCV, but eventually I switched to rum&coke and drank that the rest of the night. The rum was very slight, so it was pretty good. I also had a corona. All through the night I alternated between tipsy and not tipsy – I didn’t want to go past my limit, so I controlled it pretty well. Some guys got quite wasted, but most people were pretty inebriated yet not sick. So I drank well, I suppose. I still haven’t tried smoking, from cigarettes or bongs or whatever. I don’t think I’ll try that anytime soon.

My girls! Well, no, not really. Ylan in the middle is my favourite, don’t tell anyone though. She’s been my favourite since a few years ago… but oh well. She's taken already... oh well.
Anyway, so most of the people were from McMaster VSA, some from Waterloo and some from Western, and a few from UoT. It was nice seeing my waterloo peeps again, good times, good times.

So toward the middle, things got pretty packed, with people on all levels of the house. These are some pretty wild parties. My camera ran out of batteries around 1:30, that’s a shame. But oh well. I guess I need another battery. Anyway, if you guys want more pictures, you have to check out my Facebook in a few days. I don’t think you guys care too much though, but just sayin’.
Around 3:00, things got pretty quiet. Only a few of us stayed over. Most of the people went home, or some went to stay at some other guy’s house. So we started having some discussions about law and god and whatever. I thought they also started talking about TotA, and they were talking about guys which buff other guys, like Albedon and Ighnys, but I'm all confused so eventually I chime in and ask... turns out they're talking about Warcraft 3, about a specific map, DotA, defense of the something.... Anywhoo...
Hey, is “ninja” a universal term? Cuz some people were having some cheerios, and this guy takes a cheerio from the other person’s bowl, and one guy exclaims “he ninja’ed a cheerio!” … so maybe it’s universal, or if they’re both McMaster then maybe they know Jia…
Hmm… this entry is shorter than I thought it would be. Anyway, I went to bed in a sleeping bag, from 3:30 to 9:00ish. Got up, had lots of water. Didn’t throw up, I think the water helped. I didn’t feel very throw-y-uppy like, but a little bit… so the water helped, yay. I turned on Mario Kart, I put on some records, and maybe in a few years when I come back my records will still be there, haha.
Later, Jenny woke up, and then we just chilled in her room (us two, and that guy in the picture above with Jenny), and somehow I proceeded to change her mono black deck. I hope she likes it. Anyway, so I did that for a while, discussed about magic, and then I left. Made a bunch of new friends at the party and met old ones again, so it was a good weekend in Hamilton.
Mr. Sub for lunch, a nice long cold wait for the bus to Hamilton GO, and then soon back to ‘ssauga. 3:00 get home, 3:30 nap until 5:30, and that pretty much sums up my weekend. $17 to get to Mac and get back, money well spent. I look forward to the next MVSA house party, whenever that will be…
