time for sleep, good night

Sunday night, went to bed at… well, 9:50, and that’s in 10 minutes. Woke up at 5:40, got up at 6:00, was totally ready to go at 6:45. But, first day, my mom wanted to drive me to the Go station, so left the house at 7:15. Buying tickets was faster than we thought it would be, so instead of taking the 7:40 train, I took the 7:25, which came at 7:32.

43 minutes later, arrived at Union. Instead of going into the terminal like I thought I was supposed to, I decided to blend into the crowd of like, 500 people all heading in the same direction. Turns out they were just gonna walk on Yonge street to go to work, so I found the King station and took that up to Eglinton. Union to Eglinton is almost exactly 20 minutes. From Eglinton, it’s a 5 minute walk. Add in the time for waiting, and you have about 80-90 minutes of commuting time each way.

Not to mention $75/week.

Umm… it’s 9:44. I kinda wanna go to bed now, but I don’t reaaaly have to go to sleep or wake up thaaat early. But anyway, it’s a 9-5 work day, usually, so I’m thinking 8:45 – 4:50, so I can easily catch the 5:30 train back instead of today, when I took the 6:10. Work was okay, didn’t do much new – kinda had a job to do, but then it got postponed so I ended up just looking at past projects and reading code and whatever. Meeting people, including a new person today too.

Went for lunch by myself the first day, went to a Chinese restaurant called Spring Rolls, which apparently is also at EMTC. Had Green thai curry chicken and shrimp, was very good, not as spicy as I expected, which is good enough for me. Other choices for lunch include 2 sushi places, a bar, another bar, a thai place, a sandwich place, a Chinese place, a mcdonalds and a burger king. Etc.

Overall, good enough day. Couple cute girls at the office, but only… 3. the rest guys, probably aged 19-26, plus a 34 year old or something.

9:47. It’s like David blogging and checking to make sure his internet café time is not out yet. Let’s go live there. One of the guys that I talked to lives 2 minutes from the office. And there’s this mall that apparently has a Toys R Us, Futureshop, and EBGames. I could live there…. That’d be cool.

9:49 – sleep time.
