Weekends at a Glance – Updated
Last update, I think I implied that we’re pretty free for August. But, new light has been shed and… well, here’s an update.
Friday, August 4th – I’m going to work until around 5:00, and then I’m going camping with UVSA. Duy and Alan will be back at home (but not Jason), and I think our cousins will be here Friday night as well, or Saturday morning or so.
* - the planning for the UVSA camping trip was such a mess. Actually, at this point, I have a semi-confirmed ride. If my ride ends up being unconfirmed, it’s going to be really hard for me to get to the campground… I still think I’m going, but worse case scenario, I’m not going.
Saturday, August 5th – I’m still at the camp grounds.
Sunday, August 6th – I think I’m done camping before noon, and it’s a long drive, so I’ll probably be back at home… I’d say, mid-afternoon. Monday is a holiday, so I wonder if that applies to the Waterloo’ers too. David might also be done work late afternoon. If the Waterlooer’s are still here, perhaps there can be a draft (myself, david, alan, duy, vinh, quyen (cousin1) and khoi (crazy cousin)). Without the waterlooer’s is still 5 people.
Duy should be back around Thursday the 10th. Jason still has an exam on Saturday the 12th, so he should be back around the 13th. I think Jia is visiting Mississauga that weekend and then leaving back to Chalk River… ? And then coming back… some other time? …
Anyway, my parents signed us up for a seminar-thing. It’s a program they’ve been going to, and they have a version for young adults as well, so we’re going to that.
Friday, August 11th – Probably free during the afternoon, but going to Toronto for a special dinner, like a social event before Saturday.
Saturday, August 12th – Going to that Seminar thing, starting at 8:00 am (they serve you breakfast) and ending around 5:00 pm, which means we’re (Duy and I) probably free after 6:00 pm.
Sunday, August 13th – Cindy from work has been practicing for some fashion/talent show over the past few months, and this is the day. So the family will be coming here to see the talents and fashions and whatever. I’m not sure how long it is, but I’m assuming it’ll be a 3-4 hour event, starting early afternoon and ending late afternoon. That’s what I assume, anyway. So maybe we can plan around that, if we want.
On Monday is David’s scheduled magic draft, hopefully.
On Friday the 18th, Jason is going to Vancouver. That sounds like fun. Also,
Friday, August 18th – Apparently we’re seeing Lord of the Rings in Toronto. At night time, of course.
And…. As far as I know, that’s how our August looks like.
Lost
The other day, Alan was talking to Jason and I intercepted what Alan was saying (don’t ask me how, I think I’m magical). Anyway, he mentioned Lost, so I thought I’d mention it. The other day I said I would watch 3 things, and try to pace them so I don’t finish any of them too soon… not sure why, but oh well. So here’s my status:
Watch Lost – eps 19-23 + S2
Watch BSGS2 – eps 12-20
Watch NGE – eps 15-26
So, I’m making good progress on all 3 shows. Yes, this means I’ve seen Lost episode 18, which… clears up some stuff, but not really :P BSGs2 is pretty exciting, but I’m trying to take my time with it… and NGE is pretty good, although I’m much more attracted to the other two shows.
Zelda
I’m working diligently on my Zelda game at work. It’s progressing quite nicely – I’m getting ready for demo version 2, and I’m wrinkling out the bugs and making everything work nicely, and giving the user some good information and hints so they don’t get lost. Ricky’s always there, and he keeps saying how awesome the game is. Next demo version will be available in a week and a half.
Imhotep is invisible.
