Weekends at a Glance
I’m tired. So, a quick update before either a nap, or me watching an episode of BSG or Lost.
Today was fun. My parents went out shopping for the day, so I thought I’d have the whole house to myself or so, but Vinh was there, and Mai was there, and long story short, John, myself, Mai and Vinh went to KFC for lunch, then we went swimming at Bronte Creek, had ice cream, and then we were going to go Go-Karting but the weather didn’t look as nice. It’s actually not bad, but it looked like it might rain. So we postponed that plan. Went to Futureshop, bought Mai some seasons of Friends, and I decided, now that we’re watching so many TV seasons, to buy seasons 1 and 2 of “24”, cuz they were cheap, and I don’t remember season 2, I think.
Now there’s something Jason and Alan can watch. I can watch it with them! In 24 hours! ^_^
Anyway, so tomorrow… nothing’s happening yet.
Next weekend, August 4-6, two things happening; my cousins and uncle from Montreal are coming, and I’m going camping with UVSA (University Vietnamese Student Acc) – so not just waterloo, but all of Ontario. I’m going, our new co-worker Lan is going, and Tony and Kien from the office are going too. Hey, if nobody’s getting me that cute Japanese girl, maybe I can have a cute Vietnamese girl. Hopefully one of them cute McMaster girls =)
So, that’s August 4th to 6th, or at least, the night of the 4th to the noon-ish of the 6th. Should be fun. Preparing the tent and whatever is a pain, but past that it should be ooookay.
I think Duy’s done exams around the 9th, so I assume all or most of the Waterlooer’s (except Wen?) should be back for the next weekend, Friday the 11th. I’m not sure what’s happening that weekend yet, except I think David is free on the Monday, and he plans to have his magic thing then. I think Alan also plans a magic thing prior to that, so we’ll see.
So after that, the Waterlooer’s should be free – I don’t think any of them are taking week-long vacations anywhere, so we can plan stuff for the middle of the week. I can probably take a few days off in the middle of the week, but weekends will still be the fun times.
I hear that Jia’s coming back the Friday after that, so the 18th… or was it that week? He said he had a presentation to do at school on a Sunday, that ended in “teen”… oh wait, then that’s the thirteenth! Okay, so he might be back that weekend already.
Summerlicious is over, but I did enjoy doing something different than the usual “monitor/tv” outings – dressing up “smart casual”, taking the go bus downtown and then doing something. I’d sure like to do that again, not sure what though.
