Status Report Update
Just a small status report update before a more real update on Wednesday…
The weekend was pretty good. Saturday started off slow, but then David showed up around 7:00 and he spent the night here. We did a lot of stuff-watching, and I resisted his idea of a one-pack magic draft :P
So, we both agreed to watch some Firefly, so I showed him the first 7 minutes of Episode 7, “Jaynestown”, and he seemed interested enough to see the rest – see his blog for his review. Earlier, he was eating, so we wanted to watch a few small videos, including Superflat Monogram and URDA 4, and then we ended up watching URDA again.
Finally got him to see Gankutsuou 1, and he’s interested in seeing more, so I’m glad. I gave him some more Gankutsuou in WMV format so he can see it better, so hopefully those are good enough quality, and then he can watch them and he’ll come back when he needs more – and then we can watch my favourite episodes (15, 16, 17) together =)
David saw my anime folder, and then he watched… BOBOBO 4! And I burned Bobobo 2 for him, so he now he can watch and rewatch Bobobo’s blossoming… And then, just before David left on Sunday, he wanted to watch one more episode of something. I suggested “Friends” (because I remember him mentioning it one day), but then he wanted to try Animal Yokocho. He proceeded to watch 2 and a half episodes before he left.
So David left around noon, and Wen showed up around 2 to play tennis with my dad and I (or me and my dad?). That went well, and then Wen came over and we watched stuff. Between Gankutsuou and Full Metal Alchemist, he chose to go with FMA. His reasoning was that he’s seen more FMA, but then again it will take another 44 episodes to Finish FMA and only 23 to finish Gankutsuou. I think he’ll watch Gankutsuou sometime later though.
So we watched FMA 9-10 and Superflat Monogram, and then Wen too found out about the Potatoes on the Move.
So, that’s the status update. At this rate, David will probably watch one episode of Firefly every 3 weeks, and hopefully, we can watch the rest of Gankutsuou soon. David’s not really warming up to Firefly much, but he’ll watch it slowly… let’s see, what episode next? Well, he likes Mal… so maybe he wants to see him naked? :P
I think I’ll blog again on Wednesday…
