does Samus fly a Firefly shuttle?
Well… I predicted how the weekend would turn out, and I was actually pretty close! I was going to post more, but the comments summarize it pretty well. David sorta-likes Firefly, probably needs a few more episodes to determine a better defined feeling. As I predicted, I showed “Out of Gas”, and, with Alan’s advice, will probably show him “Our Mrs. Reynolds” next; then he can form a better opinion. Maybe he’ll then blog about it, although he usually would blog only about really great movies or really bad movies.
Then there was that Super Smash Brothers Tournament on Monday in Waterloo. Ambrose has written a pretty good blog post about that. He analyzed his losses, so I should do the same.
First loss was first match, me (Samus) vs a Fox in Onett. First, I was Green Samus without a nametag :P – Onett has no holes, which is advantageous to Fox (he ups people, and that’s good with no holes) and bad for Samus (no holes!). And more importantly, I think that Samus has trouble in spots where the ground meets the wall. So like, beside a house. Samus doesn’t do well in those places.
Second Loss was against Ambrose in Final Destination.
Third Loss was Brinstar Depths against the 3rd place finisher, Dr. Mario. Like Onett, Brinstar Depths has a lot of spots where ground meets wall, so it was hard. Also, in all my losses I fought people who can turn around Plasma.
But my wins were fun. So yeah, I had fun. I think some guy on them forums is planning to hold their own tournament after exams, perhaps we can go to that.
So anyway, this blog post was about 300 words. But a picture is worth a thousand words. So it’s a shame that all this writing will be overshadowed by the picture below.
