Counting Happy Anniversaries

Okay, last Sunday was my special day, the 25th anniversary of me being on this planet. Today, the 19th, is my brother’s special day, an anniversary of some sort. Hey Alan, I think you should ask him to do something for this special occasion… ahh, oh well.

There’s one event I forgot to mention from my last blog post. Shortly after Jason arrives back here, we’re going to get together and watch the last 4 episodes of Initial D (anime). While he was in Japan, I sent him some burnt anime dvds including episodes of Initial D up to episode 20. Now he’s very eager to watch the last 4 episodes.

So, if anyone wants to join us in watching the last 4-5 episodes, come!
(In case anyone’s wondering, I don’t plan to have any Initial D party with 24-63 episodes)

Last update, I mentioned Gankutsuou, which is my first goal, “Get David to watch episode 1 of Gankutsuou.” I also said that I might have a Gankutsuou party, where I also mentioned that if nobody comes, I’ll still do it all by myself =)

So in the next update, I’ll try to upload some parts of episode 1 for you guys to watch. I think I’m talking to David and Kyle right now – I assume Kyle at least somewhat likes the Count of Monte Cristo because he owns it, and to David because he might enjoy the Count of Monte Cristo and its characters (an innocent naïve young boy that sees so much happiness in everything? Of course David would like that!).

So like I did with Elfen Lied, I’ll restructurize episode 1, encode it to WMV and upload it in a small-sized file. Not tooo small though, because I want to try to keep the visuals as clean as possible. Then if you watch the file and you don’t fall asleep or get too dizzy or throw up or anything, then you’re ready to watch the whole series :P I’ll write more about it next update.

Xbox360. Guy on the message forums never replied to me. He sent me one message, I replied, and then he didn’t continue. So, I don’t have one yet. The buzz on the internet is that the shortage should be filled by the end of March, but I’m not sure if that’s core systems or premium systems too. The guy at Toys R Us says they’re expecting new shipments May 19th. Hmmm… it seems it’ll be a while before I can get one.

In anticipation of PGR3, I stuck PGR2 back into the xbox and I’ve been playing it more and more recently again. Racing against Duy is fun, and the fun mid-physics is… well, really fun, and then I do a lot of time trials by myself. By mid-physics, I mean, in between arcade physics (Burnout 3) and simulation physics (Forza Motorsport). It’s a good mix between realism and arcadeness.

I also increased the longevity of the game by buying the Paris booster pack. Paris isn’t fun. Some of the cars are okay, but oh well… still fun. Nowadays I’m doing time trials in all courses, mostly with the go-kart (Ariel Atom 2) and the Nissan Skyline, since I like it, and it feels like a good regular car to be doing time trials with.

Second lastly, I’d like to welcome the newest inductee to the 4-blogs-at-once page; Jia! Alan got rotated out because he started updating again, so Jia took his place. Isaque I think would never ever ever update his blog again since that course is over, so maybe Ricky would be inducted into the 4-blogs-at-once page.

::edit:: And lastly, I haven't had a song of the day for a while. Anyway, here's a song my sister sent me, which I've been listening to a lot lately. It's also in a movie, so if you can guess which movie, you win.

Song of the Day March 19 (3.5mb)
