Preview Card #3
The One Spell to Rule Them All

Oh, Duy might hate this card. Duy said he really liked his creatures, and he wanted ways to protect his creatures. He was thinking that some of them will just have the all encompassing “can’t be the target of spells or abilities.” Unforutnately, I already made this card way before he brought this up.
Vindicate. Originally, this article was going to be very short, but just nine hours ago I was searching on Gatherer and I found Vindicate; I didn't know the card existed. Vindicate - nice and simple, but not broken enough for a fake set. So I took Vindicate, upped the cost by 1, and made it about ten times better (in other words, more broken).
Is my card broken? Yes. Luckily, there’s only one of them in the whole draft, let alone the whole world, and it won’t be appearing in real magic anytime soon. Knowing that, we can allow certain broken cards into Unknown that we can’t normally put in a normal set. Anyway, there’s not much else to say, other than that it is broken. And here it is, the Truth.
Can cards get much better than this? No, probably not. First, it’s a decently costing instant removal spell. Is it too awesome that it can target a creature, artifact, enchantment, or land? Wait, no! It cannot target those. It gets around the most basic rule of Magic the Gathering, and it does what most spells cannot.
It gets around “can’t be the target of spells or abilities.” It gets around protection from black and protection from white. It can’t be redirected. It directly passes through all these filters, and it just removes something from the game.
Need land advantage? Done. Annoying pesky creature bothering you? Done. Enchantment causing you trouble? Done. Nothing short of counterspell can stop this monster. It is an instant speed removal, that gets rid of any one nuisance.
Luckily for the rest of us, there’s only one of these in the set, and after you use it, it can’t come back to haunt you.

Anyway, so that's my three preview cards. Yes, I've represented blue, black, and white/black, so I feel bad that I left out green and red.
But wait... didn't David preview FOUR cards? So a compromise... I'll preview 3.4 cards!

And that's it from me! Although, if you guys go crazy and ask for more previews, I have a couple more lined up! (white uncommon part of cycle, green mana common, red rare, and artifact creature uncommon)
Can't wait for Unknown!
(P.S. - It's just a coincidence that all my preview cards have converted mana cost 4.)
