What the F!

So I’m not playing poker online as much anymore, but every now and then, sure, why not. So today, I log on, and first I do okay, and then I go up from $8.00 to $17, so I tell myself, “I’ll leave the table in a few minutes.”

Okay, so a few minutes haven’t passed yet, and the dealer throws me pocket kings. I’m in the big blind (25 cents), so about 4 other people call the big blind, including the small blind. It gets to my turn, and I raise it 75 cents. Surprisingly, all four people called. So now there’s about 1.00x5 = $5.00 in the pot.

Flop comes up king of diamonds, 3 of diamonds, 9 of spades. Small blind checks, and I’m not one to let people hit their flush draw. So I raise $3.00. Everyone folds except this one guy across the table. So now I have about $11 left, the other guy has $25 left.

Turn comes 4 of clubs. The pot is at about $13 now (math is a bit off, but oh well) and so I go all-in with my $11. The other guy hesitated and called.

What the hell is that? How do you call $11 on an inside straight draw? ARGGH!!

That was a dumb call on his part, and he got lucky. Yes, I know luck is part of poker. But what the hell? I would never risk my chips like that on an inside straight draw. I would understand if he had a flush draw or perhaps open ended, but nooo... not like this... not like this....
