Various - probably anime and games
First, thanks for all the comments in the last entry. It’s kinda like I had a party in my blog, and Ching came too, so it was a good party =)
Anyway, I’m home alone now with nothing to do. If anyone wants to come over to keep me company, that’d be cool. And now, just like before, I’ll write a several-topicced blog entry.
I found a David Anime!
Okay, a David anime is one that exhibits one or more of three things: Craziness, and cuteness. Also included may be children, childhood innocence and themes. So for example, Bobobo would be 100% crazy, 0% cute, 0% children. Dogtato would be 10% Crazy, 90% cute, 0% children. Kodama No Ocha would be 30% crazy, 20% cute, 50% children.
And now I’ve found another! And I think I’ll continue to watch this one, at least the next few episodes. Animal Yokocho is 20% Crazy, 45% cute, and 35% children. Or Child. Anyway, I like this – at least, I’m curious to find out about more.
I also like the intro song. It's 80% crazy, but I love those intermittent hip-hop parts; that is, nothing but drums, and a higher pitched vocal track - those are neat.
Anyyyyway… I’m home alone now. I’m not sure what to do. First, my speakers are louder than usual. I have lots of anime around, maybe I should watch that. And stay up later than usual – yes, I’d do that.
I’ll probably write reviews for the anime I see on my other blog.
Poker
I’ve posted an analysis of my poker games during the past few weeks on my other blog.
The Failure of the Guild
So… Guild Wars… remember that game? It was a pretty good game on its own, but comparably, apparently people didn’t like it as much. So Jia, Duy, and I got it almost at the same time, and then Ray, Jason, and Ambrose got it too. Soon after, I liked MMO’s, and played it more, and Jia played it too when he was over here. Unfortunately, it didn’t work on his computer so eventually he didn’t really play it anymore.
Also, Duy lost interest in it quickly. Duy’s alternative was WOW, and he liked that much better. Same goes with Ambrose. Ray wanted to party and play, I was up for that sometimes. But now Ray has stopped playing videogames for the most part, and so eventually I found myself as the only one playing it. And now I’ve wandered by myself (with computer allies) into the undead territory and I find myself dying more and more, until I can’t get farther. So now I’ve stopped playing too.
So I guess it failed. It’s not a bad game, and it certainly lets you play by yourself with computer allies – but with the lack of the community or togetherness of our group, it just died apart.
Less Games
Like Ray, I also play less games nowadays, but not for the same reasons. Basically, primarily it’s because I have nobody to play with. Sometimes I would sit down with an RPG or something and spend a few hours going through the story, but for now it’s not really motivating to get up and sit down somewhere else and play a game. Right now I’m on the computer, and… while it’s not really “more” productive, it… does seem more productive.
Well, despite this, I just ordered a few games from Amazon – I’ll probably play through those, and then soon after I’ll be done with them… oh well.
