I'm not asking you to marry me, I'm just...
I haven’t updated this blog nor the other blog in nearly a week. Why not? Does that mean nothing was happening? Or that too much was happening?
I guess it’s in the middle, but a lot did happen, and I’m not sure how much I want to write about it.
We saw Wedding Crashers.
We made up magic cards and had a draft.
I bought some stuff online.
As for the other blog… does that mean I haven’t had daily thoughts? Well.. maybe one or two. Perhaps I’ll post stuff eventually when I feel like it, since it IS a “when I feel like it” blog…
First of all, Ching and I were talking the other day and she informed me the pictures that I posted for Kyle’s party were too small, so just for her (and for everyone else), here are bigger versions of some of the pictures.

As for the rest of the update… We saw the movie Wedding Crashers. I think my mom gets these free movie coupons from work or other promotions, so we had coupons for 4 people and 4 drinks and 2 popcorns, expiring August 31st. So the day of, we decided to watch 40-yr old virgin, but at the last minute we decided to see Wedding Crashers. It was myself, Duy, Jia, and one more person; Ambrose seemed unavailable, Ray had to wake up early, but Wen was available to go, so he joined us.
IMDB gave Wedding Crashers a 7.4/10. And yes, that’s what it was – it was pretty good. It was fully enjoyable, and I liked it. The story was okay, the amount of funny parts was good, etc. I liked when the movie start, as soon as you saw Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson you’d know the movie would be funny. I’m not saying their the funniest people, or among the ranks of Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller, but it was still gonna be a good time.
Humour was good, nothing too terribly offensive or immature… a few things, but overall probably more good-natured than Forty Year old virgin would’ve been. So, overall, it was worth the free popcorn and drink :P Would I have paid $10 for it? Well, I wouldn’t pay $10 for a lot of movies. I’d pay $6.25 for it though.
Next part. The magic draft. Over the past few months, we’ve designed cards for fun, and then I had the idea to draft the cards – and then we did that on Sunday. And boy, what a great draft that was! We thought the cards would be unplayable or have no synergy, but on the contrary, the set worked very well and it was a lot of fun. Drafting didn’t take too long either, and nobody was toooo late.
It was a lot of fun. Would we do it again? For sure! It was a lot of work, but not an impossible amount of work. I can’t wait for the next draft. And we still have these cards, so we’ll still use them and put them into decks and whatever. Also can’t wait for the next set, Ravnica.
Last topic. Not really a biggie, but you might’ve read on Wen’s blog about the ADV anime sale, ending in two days. I heard it from Hawk and Jia, and… wow, quite a sale. Anyway, today I finally re-activated my credit card, and then I spent $140 on myself and $200 for Jia and Hawk because it wasn’t working on their end, and then I just bought a copy of Graffiti kingdom for Jia and myself over Amazon.
We don’t have a PS2, but we have Jia’s here. Hawk has a PS2 so Jia doesn’t need it, and Ambrose and Wen have PS2s so Duy doesn’t need Jia’s. Speaking of which, what am I doing in September? Oh wait, it is September. Well, I’m not sure what I’m doing yet. Maybe I can crash here for a bit, then visit Waterloo for a bit, and visit Mac for a bit. Does anyone want to host me in Guelph? :P Anyway, I don’t have a real job yet, but maybe I can find something I like to do and… yeah…. Time will tell… sooner or later, time will tell…
