The Day Everything...
The Day Everything Went Wrong – Friday Wow, Friday… the day everything went wrong. First, we had some errands to run, including getting my license renewed. Long story short, I finally passed my G1 exit test in December, but my license expires this Thursday. I was told very misleading information from my Young Drivers instructor, so I thought I just could get it renewed. So, this is the first bad part of the day. I went to the Streetsville office, and, I couldn’t get it renewed. I finally did something about it today though.
Our second errand was to go by the auto-mechanic’s shop and drop off something. On the way there, we went over some railway tracks, and I noticed our ride was a bit bumpy then, but I didn’t think anything of it. After we left the mechanic though, I mentioned it to Duy and he also realized something was wrong. We got home, and we checked it out, and sure enough, our rear-right tire had a bolt stuck in it, and it was losing air. So we ended up driving it back to the mechanic shop, and when we got there it was entirely flat. The mechanic was busy, so we left the car there for a few hours, and we walked back home (17 min).
Later that evening, I opened the fridge to eat something, and then afterwards… the fridge wouldn’t close. Something had broken, and now we have a temporarily solution, but yes, that was a 3rd bad thing that happened.
Lastly, my uncle was heading off to Vietnam , and he wanted to borrow my new digital camera, so I was going to let him, but then we somehow misplaced the cables needed to attach it to the computer. Thus… that was a kinda bad thing too.
At least one good thing happened today… Jia came back from his vacation. Well, Duy went out and fetched him away from his vacation. And if we’re gonna have a gathering this upcoming Saturday, why should he go home now?
The Day Everything Went Awesome - Sunday
Sunday was Kyle’s party. Well, sorta. Kyle was with the guest about 35% of the time, the rest of the time he was in the basement preparing songs or something. Anyway, it was quite cool. I didn’t go swimming, but Duy did, and so did a bunch of other people.
Anyway, it was quite good. It was fun. It was great seeing Ching and Christa again, and all the other people and some people I haven’t met. Including in the group was James Feenstra, a long time no see. I’d have to look for that pog video again, hehe.
I like Ching ;) But you all knew that already. Anyway, I’ll probably put up pictures next update. I hope nobody minds ;)
Now.
Had Montana ’s for dinner with Duy, Jia, and Ambrose yesterday. We each had all-you-can-eat side ribs for $19.99. We each had about 1.5 plates, Jia had 2.0. Thus, if you’re gonna go to Montana ’s and have ribs, you might as well go there on Sun-Wed. Next time I’ll go I’ll probably just have a $10 plate of nachos.
I’m now a beginner in Tango. We’re considering taking more lessons for me, but it’s quite expensive and without Duy driving me there, it’s quite a hassle, eh? But we’ll see. I’ll try to focus more on the Tango… it looks pretty, it’s complex and has variety, it looked great in True Lies, and Arnold’s the man… wait, what are we talking about?
Today went to Oakville to renew my license up to the date of my test. That took about 2.5 minutes, preceded by a 75 minute wait. According to the information person, they don’t use a queue system, but instead they give you a number and then random numbers come up. When we got there, it was A52. My number was F44…
This is not now, but do you ever watch Punk’d? Some of the pranks are lame, most are rather okay… but every now and then there’s one that’s always amazing. I caught one of these on tape around January, involving Justin Timberlake. That was a pretty good prank, and it almost made him cry… poor Justin… he was so sad… and then Ashton came on screen, and Justin got so happy and so mad at him… man, the emotions are pretty good. Just felt like mentioning it. Ahh, always brings a smile to my face. :)
The Day Everything will be.
If you read Ambrose’s latest blog entry, then you already know what will happen Saturday. Dharbarar is coming back from North Carolina , and since it’s the end of summer, we’re gonna get together for some good old fashioned fun. Hardcore fun.
What’s hardcore? Well, there’s Smash, and then there’s Smash. We could play a lot of Smash and a few more other cool games, here and there. Maybe we can watch some cool movies… Jia’s always been wanting to have that Cube Marathon, but I don’t think we have the time for that.
Hey, what about Sin City ? Maybe I should get that. That’s quite stylish and cool, and worth a watch.
I also mentioned that we can watch some anime, and that was before the mention of Rama, but we can still watch some anime. It’s not mandatory, but if you want, you can crowd around a computer and we can watch stuff. I’m thinking Full Metal Panic 2nd Raid 1, 2, and 3 (and then probably 4, because 3 is a cliff-hanger), Gankutsuou 1… and… what else is cool… we can always rewatch some Celebrity Jeopardies, those are always pretty good for a laugh, anytime, anywhere. Feenstra brought those up at the party when he was doing impressions and stuff. And we can watch other SNL clips if anyone has any other good ones.
Question of the day: Are # of explosions and fun directly proportional?
So that’s it. Saturday. Come!
(edit) - Orisinal (link on upper right of blog) updated! New cute game :)
