magic, Jia, and DOWNLOADS DOWNLOADS DOWNLOADS
Two paragraphs, point form Magic notes, point form other notes, and then the MEDIA section…
Okay, I have a lot on my plate. Well, at least, a lot of optional things on my plate. Serious work? Haha, no. Just a few plans and hobbies. I have to do the web page with all the Asia pictures; write text for it, put up pictures, etc. I’m also working on a movie that Lachlan, Jody and I discussed one time at a party a few months ago – a 3d animated movie following a track from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. And for the fun stuff, my time at home is split between Guild Wars, Starcraft, SSBM, and Magic. And also for work, I’m learning how to code a game in C++.
We got Jia to play Magic. He made his own deck, a squirrel deck, made up mostly of proxies, or magic cards in plastics with a piece of paper in front of the card representing another card. His Squirrel deck rules; of course, it would probably cost infinite money to buy though.
A few Magic-the-Gathering highlights of different games:
I beat VK, with the only source of damage/lifeloss being 2 Bile Urchins.
Yesterday, we had a team game, Jia and Bao vs Duy and VK. The end results of the game were:
Two Fabricate’s in my graveyard, an arcbound reclaimer removed from the game on my side. In play, a Darksteel Reactor with 10 counters, a 8/9 Spincrusher and 10/8 First Strike Coretapper. But enough about me. Duy had a creature with 5 enchantments on it.
Our team at the end with 530 life, their team with -11198 life. And afterwards their team milled for about 11300.
That was a long point form. I guess I should do these ‘highlights of games’ more often, they’re pretty funny. Anyway, so our fake-magic draft is entirely possible now, and Jia’s method of proxy works well so we’ll do that for our draft too.
I made 2 new decks. One is a gold deck, with many restrictions, and VK will be making a similar deck. If you want to take the challenge, e-mail me, for fun.
The other deck I made is 28 lands and 42 uncommon/rare cards. No other commons.
Anyway, now a few more point forms in real life:
So we got back into Starcraft. Starcraft is fun. I will show you the wrath of the ULTRALISK! ULTRA ULTRA ULTRA!!
I skipped work for Tues, Wed, Thurs, partially because it’s SOO MUCH FUN being at home, and partially because I was sick.
Tomorrow we’re going to Waterloo to show the place to people. Maybe we can visit Wen.
And lastly, Jia has been over at our place for 24/7, which definitely beats his records of Fri/noon-Tues/morn and Thurs/night-Tues/night.
Anyway, this update was much longer than I thought it would be, but I digress. Here is the main section, which I wanted to do for a while.
Below are links to music, video, etc. files that I may have linked to on my blog, or on my webpage or whatever. Some of these you’ve seen, some only some of you’ve seen, and some you haven’t seen. Anyway, if you missed out on some blog entries, here’s the time to catch up. And yeah, in case you’re bored and you got a new hard drive and you need to fill it up with junk, here ya go.

-=-=-=-=-=Full Songs - Top Picks=-=-=-=-=-
dragostea-din-tei.mp3- Best Song ever. Dragostea Din Tei, by O-zone, the song featured in that video with the big dude dancing in front of his computer and voicing the words with random pictures. Best song, makes you feel happy when you listen to it. It helps if you can sing along with the lyrics.
dragostea-female.mp3 - Same song as above, but altered with some settings; changed the voice to sound more female. Although a bit squeaky, it's still a good listen.
elven.mp3 - The latter half of the Elfen Lied theme song, saints version - A more male, choir-y hymn type version. Give it a listen. It has some part that isn't there in the intro. It's more effective if you've seen episode 1... there's a certain... mood, tone, fear, power associated with this. I uploaded this recently, so I don't think you've heard it before.
ffslomo.mp3 - Final Fantasy 6/3, battle music, in slow motion with improved 'rock' characteristics. Sounds like a totally different song.
fma-transientlife.mp3 - This is a very calm song from Full Metal Alchemist.
gits-velveteen.mp3 - A very funky song. From Ghost in the shell, from my friend Amy, comes Velveteen. It's hard for me to say what kind of song it is, but I really like it. It's in my top picks, so download it :P
other-oc.mp3 - I put up this OC-Remix a while ago, it's from Megaman 2. I thought David would comment on more things, but he did at least comment on this, and I agree that it sounds really, really nice. So, it's in my top picks.
-=-=-=-=-=Other Songs=-=-=-=-=-
Champloo-2.mp3 - A snippet of Samurai Champloo episode 2, the anime where hip-hop is the theme, with hiphop music during battles and more. This is the music (and sounds) from the main battle in episode 2.
fma-revelation.mp3 - Another song from Full Metal Alchemist, a much more powerful song.
gankutsuou.mp3 - the opening theme to Gankutsuou, We Were Lovers, TV version (so shorter than the main one). I think it's a good opening to the anime, which some of you still have to see.
gksuou-desire.mp3 - Another song from Gankutsuou. You can download it now, or listen to some of it later in a video I made for the asia trip; that video is my favourite video that I made, enjoy it when you see it :)
gsgintro.mp3 - Gunslinger Girl intro.
hitoni.wav - I posted this... I don't remember why. It's a song from Drummania, the drum game at school.
id46.mp3 - A part from Initial D, 4th stage, episode 6. I guess I like the song here.. I think I uploaded for personal use, probably for me to download in 'sauga (while I was in loo).
kara-wait-tonight.mp3 - From Karaoke Revolution, it's Waiting for Tonight, by Jennifer Lopez. Song quality isn't so great.
ntht.mp3 - Uploaded recently for download at work, it's he Now and Then here and There song, which is a bit different than the one in the anime... but it's like that on the soundtrack. The accompaniment of cute 'lalala's really adds to the singability of the song.
otra-4.mp3 - On The Road Again, the Donkey Konga version, with 4 players, so 4 sets of drums going around at once.
seness.mp3 - One day I randomly listened to this song from Scrapped Princess, and then I randomly posted it. I don't think it's too special, but I did get a few comments about it, so it worked out okay.
trogdor.mp3 - I have the trogdor song here. Probably had it up for everyone to download when I first had the CD.
elfen-intro.mp3 - Intro to the anime Elfen Lied. Very nice piece.
ElfenLied-MusicBox.mp3 - The Music box version of the Elfen Lied theme song, taken from episode 9.
-=-=-=-=-=Trivia and Trivia answers=-=-=-=-=-
bao-real-trivia-mar2005.mp3 - When everyone was doing the song lyrics, this is my audio trivia from that time. The harder version with smaller clips is bao-real-trivia-mar2005s.mp3.
trivia-anime-2sec.MP3 - This is an anime trivia I made a while ago, with each song snippet being the same size, either 2, 3, 5, and 10 seconds. Try them out! This is the 2 second version. When you get to 10 seconds, they're basically answers unless you really don't know the anime. The other versions are 3sec, 5sec, and 10sec.
jun2k4-game-hard.MP3 - This is a hard mode of a videogame trivia. The easy mode is e-easy-answers.MP3 - it says it's an answer key, but... well, it's a lot easier, but still.
a-sr-1.MP3 - This was a snippet of an answer of a trivia - Aladdin, Street Rat.
b-smtmobl.MP3 - Trivia answer - snippet of Backstreet Boys, Show me the Meaning of Being Lonely
hard-mode.MP3 - This is a hard mode, a very hard mode of an anime trivia. This trivia was intended by a large audience of many people, all of which combined would've probably seen each of these animes, and all of them combined specialized enough to get each of these anime altogether. Even I had trouble with some of these today as I listened to them again.
ml-short.MP3 - Trivia answer, but also a good song clip from Moulin Rouge.
number1-hint.MP3 - Part of Prozzak, Sucks to Be You - the instrumental part. I should write more here, because I like this track, so... go get it!
-=-=-=-=-=Videos=-=-=-=-=-
forza-buick.wmv - This, is definately a top pick video. It's a Forza Motorsport video I made, featuring a replay of a Foza Buick that's fully upgraded and painted so... umm... bad... and it races against Enzos, Koenigseggs, Saleen's, etc. It's a 3 lap race, and something sweet happens on the 3rd lap. But it's so cool... such a crappy car, racing against S-class, it's pure funny.
burnout3crashes.wmv - A compilation of crashes from Burnout 3 Videos I took. I wouldn't say these are the best crashes I've ever had, but some are prooty nice. I recommend downloading this video too, if you're a fan of burnout or crashes or whatever.
dec2k3.wmv - My December 2003 Party intro video. At the end of the video it says "more coming soon", but that's an utter lie. So, it's a good introduction to each of the people at the party, with some Kill Bill vol 1 soundtrack behind it.
duy-party.wmv - This is Duy's 2005 Birthday Party, a 4-day stretch. This video is 9 minutes long, and covers the entire party. Enjoy!
elfen256.wmv - The majority of episode 9 of Elfen Lied. It was a good starter for David, who likes happy parts. This clip is 90% happy.
elfen-2.wmv - Part 2 of 3 of Introducing David or someone to Elfen Lied. This is the majority of episode 8. Features why she is evil and stuff, and the terrible past that she has had. This clip is 20% happy, 70% sad, and 10% vengeance.
elfen-3.wmv - Part 3 of 3 of Introducing David to Elfen Lied. This clip is just a few minutes long and features the ending of episode 9, featuring 50% sadness and 50% revengeance.
gen-puyo.wmv - From Genshiken, this is Saki.. something's attempt to get closer to her boyfriend by learning how to play a videogame.
gen-plamo.wmv - From Genshiken, this is a clip with plastic models..
joel1.wmv - This is a clip I made for a friend who was leaving off the internet forever and ever... or something like that. I borrowed StrongBad to make this clip..
namacha.avi - This is a Japanese commercial which I think is pretty funny.
vsa-anime-lq2.avi - I made this for VSA... don't bother clicking this link unless you want to, enjoy. Divx may be required.
-=-=-=-=-=Other Stuff=-=-=-=-=-
badger.swf - A mirror link for the badger.swf - just in case I needed it.
guuzen.swf - Umm... basically it's a song and a picture; a song from Jubei Chan 2, which some of you still have to watch.
webcomic-0002.swf - This is the flash file I made to copy Strong Bad's e-mail, but it didn't get done in time before I think... someone else did it...
guuzen.html - The html file that hosts the swf file.
webcomic-0002.html - The html file that hosts the swf file.
death_note_-_001.zip - I posted this link to Death Note volume 1 manga, which you should read, and then request more volumes.
5-game.html - This is a game that Vinh-Khang made up, and then my extension, and then the answers, or possible answers.
ESBFINA.MID - I think I posted this link before I left for Asia, after seeing Star Wars 3. It's a MIDI, of some starwars medley... ESBFINA = Empire Strikes Back ... Fina.
FEVRRACH.MID - Jia playing Forever Rachel on Piano.
SCARMAD.MID - Jia playing some of Scarlet and some of Dancing Mad on the piano.
Let's hope this pasted properly. See ya later.
Oh yeah, I'm expecting a billion comments for this post, for each song, haha. And each video. And everything else.
