Coming Home
It's Thursday the 16th, at 7:00 am. In less than 5 hours we'll be on a plane heading back to HK, and then 2 hours later onto a plane that will bring us home, with a pitstop in Anchorage. Funny thing, we didn't know where Anchorage was, the first time we went there; had to ask someone. So
Trivia 1: Where is Anchorage? Only post if you don't know the answer for sure.
So... coming home with lots of luggage, lots of stuff. I just hope customs and all that weird stuff goes okay. Checking in luggage should be fine, after that it's customs and stuff. Hopefully my two friends who work at the airport, at Customs, can make it somewhat less stressful.
Anyway, I can't wait to get home. 3 weeks without real friends, or old friends, is a long time. And I can't wait to have the magic draft. I just hope everyone shows up on time. And then we need to have another non-magic gathering sometime (no pun intended).
We were watching tv the other day, and there was some commercial that mentioned a guy named Wen Jiabao. That is the coolest name. Ties that Simon-Paul Ambrose that Duy was talking about.
So, I leave you with one last trivia question, although it is NOT a trivia question. It's a puzzle, my mom found a few months ago in a book while waiting in the doctor's office. So it's a math problem, and if you're good it will take about 1 hour to solve; otherwise, try somewhere between 2 hours and infinite hours. I think I got it in about 2 hours.
For this problem, don't post solutions in the comment list; just post that you have the solution, and then other people might go beserk to try to match you. So, the problem is:
::::: A guy walks into a 7-11 Convenience store and buys 4 items. He notices that the sum of the prices of the 4 items is $7.11. Also, the product of the prices of the 4 items is $7.11. Find the price of the 4 items.
Assume no tax or anything past the 4 items; each item's price is expressed up to two decimal places, like real prices; no rounding. So don't find a product of 4 items that equals to $7.1082, because that's not correct. So, we have
W+X+Y+Z = $7.11
W x X x Y x Z = $7.11
good luck! Enjoy! ::::
