No Limit of initial birthdays
David! I read your journal and I post comments! You post comments here! Now it’s just mostly Ambrose posting comments… ding ding ding…
Anyway, point form worked last time. I was able to talk about many different things, and not go into great (or boring) detail about each one… and I didn’t have to format my writings into neat coherent paragraphs or whatever, yet still get my point across. So maybe I should do it again… So here we go!
Firstly, unfortunately, I haven’t made a ‘to-blog-about-list’ for the past few days, so there might be a bunch of things I’m forgetting. Oh well. Anyway, I’m brainstorming a list right now…
Secondly, here are my TWO songs of the day. They’re both from the Full Metal Alchemist 2nd soundtrack, and I find that I’ve been listening to these two songs A LOT lately. They work well with my ‘theatrical stereo speakers’, hehe. I feel like an old man in a den, by a record player, looking out the window… Maybe if I throw out a composer’s name, David will get interested… I myself don’t know much about composers… let’s see… the name is “Michiru Oshima.” Each song is about 2:16 long.

Thirdly, January 5th was a weird day. First, we missed Ambrose’s birthday dinner at East Side Mario’s… apparently he had dinner early because Paul had a night class or something. Secondly, Christa was in town, but due to bad weather, she said she had to go home early, so sadly we could not meet. Thirdly, I heard Alan was having dinner with Betty and Alex and Company, and Diana was there too, but sadly, they had no room for me in the car (and they were at Betty’s). Well, they went out, and so I decided to walk to King Tin, on Kingstreet. It was worth it. It was fun having dinner with them, and the meal was good, good price, a tad on the spicy side though. Thankfully, someone was able to give me a ride home.
That reminds me about the half chicken.
Fourthly, man, these point forms are becoming long paragraphs. Mainly cuz they’re not points anymore, they’re full-fledged stories… well, the 2nd guy was song of the day, so that had to be somewhat long… and then came a story and… ahh, what the heck.
Fifthly… well, I just asked Duy about “Andrew Petersen”, but apparently he wasn’t a Woodlander, but just a “Plumtree” person, so you don’t know him. Anyway, I went to highschool with his brother, “Ian”, and he’s in Waterloo but I haven’t seen him since first year. Apparently he’s getting married with Suca in May. That’s what Lachlan told me on Thursday.
Sixthly, Lachlan joined VSA!
Seventhly, I’ve continued downloading via bit torrent, which I haven’t done with my new computer yet. So I’ve seen more Initial D 4th stage (more on that later), Gankutsuou, and School Rumble. Sometimes my roomies complain when I use bittorrent as it eats away at the internet we share.
Eightly, Futurama is good. I’ve brought seasons 2 and 3 up here with me to Waterloo, and the other day I was just chilling so I saw a couple episodes. Goooood…..
Ninethly, back to Initial D 4th stage, I was thinking about when David saw Burnout 3 with Initial D music and he said the music really fits. Yes, the music fits, and it makes you feel good, and pumped up. So, I was thinking David should watch Initial D, 4th stage. FOURTH STAGE. That is, as “John” from Animenation (John’s an anime guru and lots of people ask him for advice and he answers questions and stuff, and his answers are pretty good, although I can’t always agree with him…) … anyway, he says 4th stage is pretty good, in terms of the action and stuff. See, all the initial D story was built up in 1st stage, 2nd stage, and some in the movie and extra stage; 4th stage is more of a “greatest hit” album, just showing feel-good scenes. In other words, you watch 4th stage to enjoy it, not for a lot of story, or character development, cuz all that’s done. So, watch 4th stage and enjoy it. It’s good… music is gooood tooo…
Tenthly, on Wednesday, we went to Mongolian Grill for Jason’s birthday. It’s kinda funny, how upon planning the dinner, I heard “let’s go at 6, because then we’ll be done at 8, because that’s when Ray will be on and we can go to…” …
Eleventhly, for Jason’s birthday, we bought him a big toblerone.
Twelfthly, I mentioned last update about online poker. Well, I got online, and then I lost all my money, and that sucked. Anyway, I signed up at another place now, and put up a bit more money, because my friends really wanted me to… well, not exactly like that, cuz I don’t like to throw money out the window… but this new place is better… you can play no-limit games where you can maximumly sit down with $2.00, and small blind is 1 penny and big blind is 2 pennies. So I sat down with $2.00, and now I’m up about $2.07.
Thirteenthly, however, in real life, I’m becoming awesome at poker. Thanks to Dave and the other Duy, they taught me how to play better, and now I’m owning them at poker. Of the last 5 tournaments we played, I’ve won 4 of them. So over the past week and a half or so, I’m up about +20 + 15 + 15 + 20 – 25 = 45, so that’s pretty good.
Fourteenthly, although poker seems fun, it’s starting to lose SOME of its interestingness… I can’t play it all too often now, but I’m always up for a game every now and then.
Fifteenthly, today for food, all I had to eat were cookies, chips, and toblerone. Serious. I didn’t plan it like that, but … yeah. I feel so unhealthy. (in a few minutes, add peanuts to this list, or more specifically, beer nuts)
Sixteenthly, on Thursday I met Joseph, Lachlan’s friend, and Lachlan introduced us to a place called “BODE’s”, near Parkside and Weber, so we drove there with Joseph. Long story short, you can go there and buy food in bulk at low prices. So I bought, I think, 10 pounds of “Fudge-o’s” for $9.95, no tax. Well, I also bought 7 small packs of beer nuts and 3 packs of 3-packs of some type of cookie, and altogether I had 15 cents of taxes. Anyway, that place is awesome. Unfortunately, I’ve been eating a lot of cookies lately, so I feel unhealthy. But ‘brose, let’s go one day. That reminds me, I hope Sobey’s still has cheap chocolate milk, so ‘brose can bring me there…
Seventeenthly, while I was walking home today with Jason and Alan after class, I was wondering how Need for Speed Underground would be like as an MMORPG… well, it would be like NFSU2. Actually, I was first wondering what WoW would be like as a single-player game, and I thought it’d be like NFSU2, but in WoW, of course. Man, NFSU2 would make a good MMO, IMHO… I’d play it. Well, it might be laggy and stuff, but it sure would be nice.
Eighteenthly, and lastly, recently for Psych 207, Alan Duy and myself had to do a project on attention lapses, but Alan and Duy didn’t do it. Maybe there was an ulterior motive… since he’s got me thinking about these lapses, I’ve been doing them less often. Each time I go to the bathroom without wanting to brush my teeth, I don’t; I pay extra attention to it. If I go downstairs and I see my backpack, I notice it much more… so… do you think that was an ulterior motive? … well, it sure worked!
Nineteenthly, and post-lastly, maybe I should balance all this unhealthyness today with something else… *glances at the corner*… since I did bring pump it up here in the fall but I haven’t unpacked it… maybe I should…
