Ninjas, Cancelling, and Betrayers
Firstly, let’s do an “Ambrose comment prediction” thing. Prediction: Other than Ambrose and I, there will be no other comments! So… yes, there’s the prediction.
Secondly, here’s the song of the day. Using the sound editors and whatever on my computer, this is the edited version of a piece of videogame music. I didn’t really like this song too much in its original state, but it sounds kinda cool now. Sounds like several different parts of Final Fantasy… because it is, from, a Final Fantasy… enjoy!

Thirdly, we had the best death in SSBM recently. Well, it was one of those deaths where afterwards, Ambrose, Duy, and myself laughed for a whole minute and a bit. Of course, you’d have to be there, we can’t recreate it without looking fake, and it doesn’t sound as good in words as it actually was. Well, in Pokéfloats, we were all Falcons, and at one point Wobbabfet appears. I just happen to be on his most rightest part… well, Wobbafet appears, and then he quickly, for half a second, shifts to the right and comes back… that’s how I ate my death. See? It sounds crappy in words. You should’ve been there. We can recreate it I guess for you…
Fourthly, the other day, “The Net”, the movie starring Sandra Bullock, was on… some channel the other day. I remember seeing this in ’93 or ’96 or whatever, and I think I liked it, but then I stepped back and thought it was pretty okay. Watching it now again, it’s actually kinda creepy… and it’s half possible now, eh?
Fifthly… yesterday was the 21st, next Friday is the 28th, which is my anime-a-thon, or game tournament, for VSA, here in Waterloo. We’re coming back this weekend, although the snow is pretty big. The Friday after that is February 4th, which is also the release date of Betrayers of Kamigawa. So, of course, we’re drafting it! Now, Alan says he prefers to stay in Waterloo to draft it, because it’s more convenient. So, this paragraph is dedicated to anyone who’s interested, but mostly to two people, one who doesn’t read blogs and one who HASN’T POSTED A COMMENT ON MINE LATELY!! So, I agree, staying in Waterloo is more convenient, because it’s closer. However… if there is interest back in ‘sauga… then we’ll probably come back, if someone is interested and able to wake up on time…….
Sixthly, I plugged Pump it Up back in. Hey David, is your cd compatible with my version of Pump it Up? Can I borrow it? Anyway, I played it, it was fun, but I was looking for some songs that were on David’s cd that I didn’t have. Also, there are a few things I don’t like about this version, and I’d like to replay David’s version, with the songs I’m used to.
Seventhly, there’s a dvd rental machine in the SLC, and last week they had some promotions for it, so on Monday I rented a free movie! I rented Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan. You may recall me watching Freaky Friday, starring Lindsay Lohan, and me liking it, and Duy liking it.
Eightly… yes, Mean Girls. It was okay. Lindsay’s role wasn’t as amazing as it seemed in Freaky Friday, but it was still pretty good. She looks good too. She seems to be able to play the ‘innocent-lost-girl’ and ‘crazy-popular-girl’ types well.
Ninthly, waiting takes a while now. That is, if you ask the other 3 if they’re almost done, and they say yes, that can mean anywhere between 25 and 70 minutes. Like, if someone’s playing FF7 and you ask them if they’re almost done, and they say yes, that might mean 5 to 30 minutes, however long it takes to find a save point. If you’re playing smash, “almost done” might be 4 minutes. If you’re playing Starcraft and you were nice, you wouldn’t say you were ‘almost done’, cuz the game might take another 2 hours. Of course, if you were indeed almost done, that’s like 10 minutes.
But in WoW, and with Alan, almost done is not 10 minutes; yesterday we were going to play Smash, Duy’s idea, so I ask them if they’re done yet, and they say yeah, almost. So I proceed to watch an anime episode… and then another, so that was about 60 minutes. And then they had to be reminded too… which sucks, because with all that time, well… they kinda put you on hold, or you’re on-call, so you can’t like, play a poker game, or go out with friends, or start playing a long game on a console. I just have to stay in my room, chat, and watch anime.
Tenthly, I need to pack to go home, so I don’t have time to blog right now. I’ll finish it in ‘sauga.
Eleventhly, well, my parents cancelled on us. It’s toooo much snow outside, so they cancelled on us. However, Ambrose is in ‘sauga, so he said he’d pick up the projector for me, so that’s good. So anyway, long story short, we’re still in Waterloo. David, wanna come over today? To Waterloo? It’s worth the walk! As they say in psych, we enjoy taking challenges where we have a 50% chance of success. I calculate that in this weather, the chance that you will die is 50%. So what are you waiting for? Come over! 50/50 chance, what could be better?
Twelvethly… the other day, I had the best sleep. Ambrose came over, we played Smash, and then Alan went upstairs, and eventually, we all called it quits because we were tired. So I went upstairs at approximately 1:50 AM, and I laid down on my bed just to rest for a bit, and around 2:10, I fell asleep. Lights still on, computer still on, everything, like the way Alan falls asleep. At around 4:30 AM, I woke up, and I realized I had fallen asleep. I decided to then go to the bathroom, but not brush my teeth; I turned off my lights, but not my computer; and I changed my pants, but kept my sweatshirt on as it was so comfortable. And then I fell asleep again. If I did brush my teeth, I’d probably feel refreshed and less tired, so the tiresome feeling would’ve left me, but I liked it.
Thirteenthly, because of this weather… well, not sure why, but I got Alan to blog and Duy’s blogging now too.
Fourteenthly, I had a few dreams lately, but I remember 2; one was about a computer problem, the other is more interesting. In this dream, my mom signed me and Duy up for boxing. No, not boxing lessons, but boxing matches. Apparently, there was this contest or something where anyone can sign up, so my mom signed me and Duy up. Also, you estimate what place you’ll get in, so I think Duy and I were signed up for around 3rd or 4th place. Anyway, so there was this other guy with us, some white guy, who’s also destined for 3rd or 4th place. So we were watching some matches, and we saw the 8th place guys go, and their fight lasted pretty long, and I started wondering if my fight will be long, or if I’d lose right away… damn… and stuff happened, but it’s not important.
Fifteenthly, I think my next song of the day will be a Derris Kharlan theme.
Sixteenthly, the other day we went to the SLC after class (ADB) cuz I had to run some errands for VSA related things, and there we stopped by the Cove. The drum game wasn’t working though, and the sword game was out of order, so Duy and I played the guitar game. First we played easy mode, both at the same time, that was interesting. Then we tried normal mode, and we got owned on the last song. Hehe. Good use of $4.
Seventeenthly, as we were leaving the SLC, the guys selling dvds and videogames were at the booths this week, so we made an impulse buy and bought Tenchu: Return from Darkness for $22. It’s a very ninjalicious and hard game. But it’s pretty cool. And pretty funny. Co-op mode’s a good addition.
Eighteenthly, my sis is buying a PS2 for us; or better worded, she’s forcing us to buy a PS2 for cheap, or kinda cheap. Duy likes the idea, so I guess we’re going for it. Duy plays more RPGs I think, so the decision is more for him than on me, but I’d like a PS2 as well.
Nineteenthly, I hear the Full Metal Alchemist game sucks. But Ambrose found it for $35… which is pretty darn good, for a Square Enix game with the Full Metal Alchemist in it… so maybe we should just get it and not bother renting it…
Twentythly… that’s not a word… but yeah, Twentythly, I wanna rent Mercernaries: Playground of Destruction.
Twentyonethly, Twentyonethly is a cool looking word. I got Duy to play more Paper Mario, and Alan fell asleep cuz it was late at night. We’ll probably play more now.
