damn you Paton for getting me addicted to online poker!
Alright, so there were a few errors with the elfen clips from last update, so here's another short update with the real elfen clips. in WMV format!
To remind myself, in adobe premiere, you don't export movie, you export to Advanced windows media format, and this one is the 256kbps version, which makes the 18-minute clip about 26 megs, and it takes about 22 minutes to encode this 18 minute item. The size is pretty good (if seen in double-size), and you can read the subtitles and the sound is decent.
So, here it is, less than half the size of the other 2 clips, all 18 minutes, here.

So that should work over there at UTM.
Anyway, as for other stuff... played Halo 2, not too much yet, it's fun. It's different than Halo 1 in many ways, so it'll take a bit of getting used to... and there's a lot of hype around, so the game doesn't seem as awesome as everyone hypes it to be, but it's pretty good. I'll have to go through more of the game to get a better feel for the story and mechanics.
Ambrose is here right now, and we just played almost 5 hours of Smash Melee. It's 4:05 right now, so I'm not going to classes tomorrow. Well, ECON prof says he'll be absent, so I'm only missing 2 classes. Oh well. I still have stuff to do tomorrow too, such as vsa stuff... for my videogame-anime event...
Last but not least, Andrew Paton mentioned internet poker to me. I've heard of it a lot, I know some people that play it, but I always kept thinking that it would be boring, kinda like playing Yahoo Hearts, it's not quite as fun. So Paton introduced empirepoker to me, and he plays it, and I didn't think he was a pro or anything, so it's like talking to a casual friend... and if he plays it, then I shall try it... and he told me how it was free, and you can play with play-money (fake money), so I gave it a try.
The software at http://www.empirepoker.com is pretty good, it looks nice, and all that, so it's pretty good. Playing games is pretty easy too.
So anyway, Andrew Paton's getting me addicted to online poker. However, I tried to put in some real cash today, but it rejected my credit card for some reason. Maybe I have some information wrong (cuz it asks for weird things like country code for phone #, Bank that issued it, etc.), or maybe I'm in overlimit, or the card rejects internet gambling. So that sucks.
See, in play money, I'm doing QUITE well. First I had a no-limit cash game, and with my fake $25, I got up to around fake $77 once, so I would've made $50 US right there and then, within my first 30 minutes of playing.
And as for tournaments ($10 buy-in with $1 fee, 800 chips, starts with big blind 15, no limit), I'm doing okay... top 3 get 20,30,50 I think, and I've gotten "not top 3" twice, 3rd once, 2nd twice, and technically 1st once. So, with fake money, I'm doing pretty well, so I want to apply some of this to real money. But darn it. I have to find another way. I hear people are making good money with online poker. But then again, that means someone must be losing. Or it could be 2000 people winning big and 1000000000 people losing small. So that's good.
Anyway, we'll be back Saturday morning/afternoon or something (to 'Sauga, that is). Anyway, the clip is now smaller (size), and in wmv, so it's more compatible with everything. enjoy! don't cry too much in public :P but feel free to laugh.
EDIT:: if you thinking of joining party poker, message me first, so I can refer you, and give you a promotion code so you can get free money
