100 fine, 500 good, 500 wrong
This is actually a really short update! Calm before the storm kinda update. I was planning on writing a really large update about a lot of things, including full metal alchemist and stuff that has happened since Sunday, etc. But for now it's a short update. Good news and bad news.
The good news is that my poker chips have finally come in. 1100 9g clay-composite pokerchips.
The bad news is that 500 of them are the wrong colour. I asked for 100 of each, and then the last 100 can be any colour, but instead they gave me an additional 200 red, 200 white, and 100 blue, instead of the extra pink/orange/purple/yellow/gray ones. Need the yellow ones, and the pink ones too. So that's really pissy me offy now.
So I have to exchange them, and that's gonna be a long annoying process with lots of other costs most likely. Also, they shipped by UPS, so guess what? Large brok. fee at customs and duty, of about $40, so that sucks. Hopefully something can happen so it won't be so crappy when they send me back the right colours.
So right now, I have black, red, blue, white, and green. So I'm keeping 600, exchanging 500. Anyway, here is a picture of my friend's (Toan's) chips:
These ones are customized by his bro, who painted some of the diamonds. By default, the diamonds aren't different colours than the chip. Anyway, I am looking for someone to customize my chips as well. What I mean is, do any of you do that? Someone close and personal, a friend of mine, or a friend of yours, that's willing to do it for cheap or for free? :) Maybe someone who has painted model kits or pewter warhammer figures (or whatever it is you paint these days)?
Anyway, if you can, that's great. I have a bunch of chips, so if you make a mistake on a few, it's okay.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say for this update. The next update will probably be pretty large, with stuff about the gathering on Monday, Full Metal Alchemist, anime I've seen, the d20 game, stuff about training, stuff about school, my anime-list dvd thing, pictures from camping, and a bunch of other things.
::edit:: one last thing. This morning I had to go do a bit of work at my old house, so I ftp'ed some OCremix songs onto my webspace, so they're still there, so I can share some of them with you. So you know what I was listening to during this update.
http://www.baomon.com/spoons/oc9.mp3 - This is one of my favourite current OCRemixes. It's from Super Mario RPG, yet the first few times I heard it I didn't recognize it, yet I still enjoyed the music because it sounded good. Now I think I'm familiar with the part, but anyway, if you're not too familiar with Super Mario RPG, I still recommend it. For those who have the OCremix, it's the Bukki's Tango remix... ::/end edit::
