Passport Napping - wednesday update 1 of 2

Alright! It's been many days, and well, I thought the other entries would've accumulated more comments by now. But oh well, what can ya do? Anyway, so it's wednesday night now, anime-a-thon starts Saturday afternoon, and stuff's been happening and etc, so I have a bit to blog about tonight.

Hmm... I wish I could LJ-cut my blog posts, so that if you don't want to read certain reviews or what I have thought of movies, then you can skip them - otherwise you hit something and there's more to read. But since I can't do that, you'll just have to read the reviews of some stuff I've been watching.

So, I think what I'll do first is go over what has happened lately, and then review a few things in the update after that.

-----------

I don't actually remember much of Monday. Or at least, I didn't remind myself to write anything interesting. I tested out the computer for usage at the anime-a-thon, and it works fine. I have to set the resolution to 800x600 to see the whole screen, but otherwise, it seems to work fine.

Sometime between Sunday and today, Duy and I watched the movie Freaky Friday. Read the review below. Afterwards, when I tested my computer on the tv, I didn't want to just test it, so I proceeded to watch Shrek 2, which I got from Ray and then again from my uncle. Read the review for that too.

You'd think that with the anime-a-thon coming up, I would try to not watch anime for a while... nope. So I watched the 'daydream' ova, saw an episode of Transformers Super Link, and some of an episode of Transformers MasterForce. SuperLink is anime, with 3d cel shading for some parts. Unicron is in it, and it's not quite regular transformers.. it's not armada, but feels a bit like armada. I think Scorpinok's in it. As for MasterForce, it has those weird creature transformers that we have as toys but have never seen on tv before. The DayDream ova was... interesting.

On Tuesday, I had a 2:50 nap. That was great. It was pretty hot, so for a lot of it I was just laying in the sun, too tired to move around. Well, I guess that 2:50 on relaxing makes up for the 2:45 that we spent today at Centralparkway mall thingy, doing the passport stuff. ugh.

Yeah, today, we went to that mall and we got our passports. Mom says the rules changed, so we need a passport now to go places. Well, at least it's over with. Anyway, while I was there, I accidentally looked at some fifth dawn cards but I didn't know it. But no biggie... this just says we gotta have this draft thing soon. I was thinking, if I didn't have a party on the 17th, then we could have it then... but then I called my friends and they are available, so I do have a party that day. Oh well.

Anyway, back to Tuesday, back to reality tv shows... I had to choose between watching Outback Jack, Big Brother 5, or Amazing Race, or a handful of other shows. Well, Outback Jack drew me the most in... first, I've already seen a lot of the premiere, and secondly, I like girls :) Surprise, surprise. And there are girls in Outback Jack, and some are really hot and some are really friendly and cool too, so that's always good.

So, the Anime-a-thon schedule is pretty much set. It will be based on FMA-funny, but since not many have seen Sensei no Ojikan, and I'm not sure who wants to stay for the 2nd day, Azu 1-4 will be switched with Ojikan 1-4, and Ojikan 1-6 will be switched to Ojikan 5-6 and Azu 1-4. (Note: Ojikan 7 is now available for download, so I may make a minor adjustment). FMA will stay the same on day 1, but on day 2, while it is recommended that those episodes be watched (Isaque really likes that idea, since 25 is such a pivotal episode), I will give the choice of FMA, or maybe Fumoffu, or Azu, or some other combination of funny stuffs.

Last but not least, I talked to Richard Cao today, to see if I can invite him to the anime-a-thon on Saturday. Well, I'm not sure if he told anyone else, but today I found out that he's in 'sauga today, but tomorrow he's leaving for Japan for a year, co-op, Epson, software developer. Ain't that crazy? Well, I just find it crazy cuz he didn't tell anyone, or at least, not us :P So if anyone's wondering, that's what's up with our friend, Richard Cao... the one who coined the phrase 'Rain on my Thunder'..

Anyway, that's a few paragraphs about the events that happened. The post above this is the update 2 of 2, which features reviews on the movies Freaky Friday and Shrek 2.
