Discussing discounted DVD collections, and a bird.
So... just a bunch of thoughts and stuff this update - stuff that happened today and yesterday, and then mostly other thoughts. Anyway, the font colouring has no real pattern, it's just there to section it apart...
--------------------------------------------------
Discussing stuff is fun! I'm not talking about politics or current affairs, I mean like, movies and tv and anime and other media forms of entertainment or anything else that provokes thought. The other day I had a discussion with Alan about different cases in CSI, like, "what would you do in that case", and if the guilty one was really guilty, or the victim could've prevented it or whatever...
... And yesterday we had a few thought provoking discussions with Alan and Ricky about Full Metal Alchemist... unfortunately, Ricky's seen only up to 15, Alan up to 29, and Jia has read some mangas which brings him up to around 28 in the anime. I'm up to 38 now, just having seen ep 38 a few minutes ago. Anyway, I need people to catch up with me, so we can discuss it more ^^
Episode 38 was... okay. It was a bit silly in the beginning (silly as in silly, not necessarily funny), then it was a bit funny, and then it got more serious. Something important happens in this episode... well, no, but now ____ knows more about ____ and it gets kinda interesting. I'm almost into the 4th quarter of the series, so I guess they can start wrapping things up, or getting to the climax final confrontations and stuff. Also, Winry in uniform's pretty cute ;)
Saw Freaky Friday again, and taped it this time. It definately was much better the first time through. So, the first 24 minutes builds to the funny part, so if you don't like it within the first 24 minutes, that's okay :P then for the next 42 minutes, it's pretty funny. The whole movie's 97 minutes long, so after the first hour or so, well... it's still funny and stuff, but feels disney-y and everyone starts being happy. Anyway, at one point of the movie a tear came out of my eye. It wasn't even a sad part! Hehe.
Today, while we were sitting in the car, slurping smoothies, after our trainer session, we saw a bird. The bird was walking around, and when it approached the sidewalk, it did the awesomest hop onto it. Well, no, it wasn't awesome, it was just a nice hop, but it was amusing. I don't care what you say, I think it was amusing, and I'm gonna blog about it.
5 drive-in theatre. It's cheap on Tuesday, and pretty damn cheap on Thursdays too, but we can't go because we have a trainer session the morning after. But oh well, we're probably going tomorrow, just for fun, but we'll be dead tired the next day. But that's okay. I think. Not sure what we're seeing... one screen is showing White Chicks and S2, and the other is AtWi80days and King Arthur, so it'll be a hard decision..
Today my parents banned us from using the computer, until tonight, so that sucked. So I had a 2:11 nap. We also decided to beat Megaman 2. It wasn't really alll that hard if you put your mind to it... but it's still pretty hard, and we died a few times here and there. Missing a few jumps, eating Wily Alien Form... etc..
The other day I went to Brose's blog and started downloading SSBM videos from the link there.. so far I downloaded almost a gig of SSB-related stuff, and a bit more than half a gig of non SSB related stuff... yippee... so now I can see some cool techniques and some useless techniques that I didn't know about... I wanna learn that thing where Samus puts down a bomb and somehow then slides across the whole level... yeah, that'd be useful... >_<
Gotta complain about those pokerchips I bought from e-bay... nope, didn't get them yet, but the damn sales people there suck. They don't return my e-mails sometimes, or they take a really long time. Anyway, on monday I sent out an e-mail, but then I figured they wouldn't reply yet so I gave them a call. So, they gave me the information I wanted (it's about customization), so then I made the money order and I sent it to them. I come home on Tuesday and I check my e-mail, and they tell me I can't make that customization, which is different from what they said on the phone. So now I have a problem, where I paid for more than I should've, or whatever it is. So now I gotta e-mail them again to fix the problem... AAARGH!! Damn thing! Hopefully they'll accept my proposals...
Yesterday was fun. We went looking around for pooltable cloth, because we got a non-together pool table that needs refixing from a friend, so we looked around... anyway, we ended around 5170 Dixie Center and went to a liquidator store that sells software and movies and stuff. So I figure, the store would suck, right? Nope, it's actually pretty big and filled with good stuff.
Well, it's good stuff if you want it, of course. You can buy some good games for around $9-$25... like, Magic Battlegrounds is $12, and I talked to Alan and he says he wants it, so if I go there again soon I'll get it for him. Myst collection is $25, stuff like Duke Nukem Manhattan project is like $9, etc, etc.
Bought another steering wheel for the PC, $15.00, comes with NFS3. Also bought some comic 'books', like some dilbert and stuff like that. I recommend the store, if you're looking to buy some older games for pretty cheap prices. They also have new movies for cheap prices...
Anyway, on that day, we bought some gas for around 83.1. Three hours later, it was 69.9! WTH? Anyway, we also went to EB that day, to see if Tales of Symphonia was out. It kinda was, but EB didn't have it, and Best Buy didn't either. We checked today, Zellers doesn't have it yet, and EB has it sold out to the people that reserved it.
Anyway, didn't go home empty handed yesterday - following the lines of the Megaman collection, I bought the Sonic Mega Collection at EB. They had a new copy for $29.99, and a used for $24.99, so I picked up the new, but the guy at the counter recommended I buy the used version. He says it's better, since i can return it if it stops working after 30 days, and stuff... so apparently buying used is better than new... weird, but oh well.
-------------------------------------------------
Last but not least... I remember in Waterloo, Jason asked me to burn him a copy of the Initial D dvd I burnt for myself, and now on Wen's blog, Wen and Alan want me to burn them a dvd with the OCRemix tracks on them. So then I'll ask, since I forgot Jason's request of stuff... who wants what dvds of stuff? Full Metal Alchemist? Other stuff? I can burn whatever, just reimburse for the cost of the dvd... so that's like... around $1.50 per dvd is fine, or say, $2.75 for 2 :P That should be okay.
Anyway, that was a pretty random update, but I needed an update. Eventually I need an update focusing on Initial D or something...
