Home alone on a friday afternoon

I got this pic from one of Duy's online friends. I don't usually interact with his friends, and I don't know them, except I've met some in various provinces, and I see them around on isketch (which we haven't played for a while) and they post comments on duy's blog. This comic belongs to one of those people - Nedroid. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to have this up, but oh well. Let's say I'm advertising for him ^_^ go check out http://www.nedroid.com for more. I think this one was funny.

Okay, haven't updated for a while. I was wondering if I should let comments accumulate, but I guess not much can come from a review-update. However, the post before the previous one still has some discussions about F-Zero GX and stuff.

Anyway, right now we, Duy and I, are home alone on a friday afternoon. Anyone wanna come over and keep us company? ;) Mom's gone to work, Dad's gone to work, Vink's at school, Mai's at *school*, Duy is FFXIing, and I am updating you all on our lives at the moment. So I think we're free today, so someone drop by...

So, in this update, first I'll go over weekend plans, and see who wants to do what, when, and how... *and how...* ... afterwards, I think I'll dedicate a paragraph or 2 to Settlers, then talk about random stuff, whatever's on my mind... and then talk more about tv and stuff i've seen lately.

---------------------
Anyway, this weekend is the 18th (today) until the 20th. Next weekend is the camping trip. Today, apparently, as I said, we're pretty free. However, we don't have the car, so we can't go places. Any good movies out? So I'm not sure what we're doing today. I dunno if we have a key, so maybe we can't leave. So someone drop by...

Christa has cancelled her going-away/farewell party, so I wasn't occupied with that on Sunday anymore. On Saturday is Mike's (Duy's friend in Hamilton, Mike Jones, or as I call him, Mike Shinobi) ... birthday party, and I decided to tag along. Duy asked Mike, and he said it was okay. It's over in Hamilton, so we're taking the go train and things, and we might sleep over.

So that's what we're doing Saturday, and that may be what we're doing sunday too. We probably can't have friends over on Sunday if we do the sleepover party - furthermore, it's Father's day on Sunday, so there's a good chance that we're busy on Sunday, and perhaps you will be busy on Sunday as well.
Settlers... well, played many more 2-player games with Vinks. He wins a few games, I win most... the most recent game was pretty close, a 10-9 game. It was the best game in a while... we also tried a game where I picked my usual positions, and he picked his, and then we traded places - but I still won that game.

There was one game where I went from 9 to 19 points in 1 turn, under Vink's VictoryPointCard rules. I think I was asking for too much, cuz when I was at 9 points, Vink was at 8 and then went to 10 in 1 turn, so he won (although I had a VP card in my hand). The way we usually play is that after a player is done, the next player gets 1 turn to try to win also.

So on the last turn, I rolled a 9, so got 4 lumber and 2 wheat. I had a 2:1 lumber, but I used "market", and under Vink's rule, my 2:1 became a 1:1. So that's 1 point... I think I then used Chapel, so that's another point, and both Vink and I picked up 2 resources. I used a soldier to get one of those resources, which got me largest army. I then built 2 roads and 2 settlements, which got me longest road and another 2 points.

So that's 8 points... then I think I used a governor's house, maybe, bought a dev card, which was the university, so I got another point. So 10 points in 1 turn. wheee. Now onto random stuff.
I want a KRUG t-shirt. It's $16. so I dunno yet.

Need for speed Underground doesn't want to work on my computer anymore.

Lately, instead of saying "Dun Dun Dun" whenever a dun dun dun event occurs, I say the "Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun!" which I got from Family guy. It's a 5-part Dun, during the episode where Meg has to write a newspaper article and Peter replaces it with the Luke Perry article. I think Peter says the 5-part DunDunDunDunDUn when Luke says that Meg is soo sued. I'll find a soundclip for it later..

Chronicles of Riddick. Haven't seen it, but the commercials for it nowadays with the reviews, well... all the reviews are from Shawn Edwards, Fox TV. All of them... isn't that... weird? Oh yeah, that reminds me, Gigli is on TMN starting today. I should tape it to see what all the hype is about...

Well, now that I started talking about TV, let's move onto that now..
So... Sex in the city is starting soon (or already has started) to be showed on regular prime time. I haven't seen any sex and the city, but I hear it's been super censored which just lets my imagination think about how it was on HBO. So I'm curious now. I know some of the stars, like Kim Cathrall I think, some other lady, and Kristin Davis, whom I saw on Conan the other day. She's pretty cute.

I taped the first episode of Joe Shmoe 2, have yet to see it. I also taped the last episode of WB SuperStar USA, and the MTV movie awards. In Superstar USA, it was building up to such a sad, spirit-crushing ending... the commercials hyped the sad ending, and throughout the show, especially during the last episode, the victims were soo complemented by the cast, cheered on...

But (spoilers) it turns out to be a happy ending. Yay. I'm glad. Who wins? *spoiler* - Jamie wins. Jamie Foss. I don't think she was the worst, but she did have other superstar qualities, which is why I think she won. Jamie can actually sell records, not because she's sexy, but she can do pretty well. Not sure about Rosa... but anyway, the ending was pretty good.

Now saw 9 of the 23 season3 episodes of CSI. Saw a "bao" episode, by which I mean the episode involved poker and street racing ;) Also saw the award winning episode, "Fight Night". It was pretty good.

------------

Anyway, that's it for now. tonight... probably more CSI... gotta finish jamie kennedy, although I finally used dvdxcopy... *shifty eyes*... *takes a bite of chocolate*
