Canada Day Plans: Spiderman 2 and a taste of Mandarin - read this!
Alright! I was gonna post this 3.5 hours ago, but alas, busyness came and I'm posting it now instead. Anyways, I talked to Wen and Ray about this before, so:
The tentative-but-almost-set-in-stone plans for Canada day are:
Spiderman 2, Coliseum, 2:15 pm, and then off to *try* to get into Mandarin. If you haven't read Jason's blog, here's the link to the Mandarin *special* page: Mandarin Canada Day Special - long story short, free all-you-can-eat-buffet all day long Canada day, Canadian Citizens only, so Canadian passport or citizenship card required.
2:15 pm Coliseum movie, 128 minutes, which means we'll be out of Coliseum by 4:30. Then we try to get into Mandarin - if the lineup's short, then I guess it's worth it. If it's long, then it's not worth it, so I want to make a contingency plan.
Well, what are your ideas on the contingency plan? Come back to someone's house to play games? Eat somewhere else? (I was thinking, I haven't been to Jack Astor's for a while..)
Anyway, if we see the movie at 2:15, I say we meet at the Coliseum lobby before or around 1:30. At least, that's when Duy and I will probably show up. Alternatively, some of you (tell us first) could show up here before 1:10 or whatever, and we can all bus or drive there together. If you can't get a ride, well, take a bus, or ask the other drivers if they can take you.
Anyway, so that's it. So as a recap:
-Meet at Coliseum at 1:30
-Watch Spiderman 2 at 2:15
-Exit Coliseum near 4:30
-Contingency plan or drive to Mandarin and check it out. Jack Astor's works because it's near the Coliseum. Or we can drive somewhere or bus somewhere pretty easily.
-Bring Canadian passport or citizenship card. If you don't have it, comment here, and then maybe we'll just skip the Mandarin idea and go straight to the contingency plan.
-Bring money. Bus fare if you require it. And stuff.
Discuss. I'll probably msn other people and maybe I'll update again tomorrow morning.
