What if a bear walks into the bar... and you're unarmed? You would get eaten.
A rant... hmm... can't think of one yet. So no rant for today.
So, the other day we got a dual-lazyboy recliner, and it's pretty sweet. So we moved the 2-seater couch out of the tv room and into the piano room, and moved the 2-seater lazyboy to the tv room. Well, it was too wide, too tall, to... much... depth... to go in. So I put on my thinking skills and... I recline the seat, all the way. So I sacrificed much length for about 8 inches of height. But of course, that's all that was needed, so I win!
Today I thought of my future, and a little tiny stupid idea came up in the back of my head. It said, I shouldn't earn my money by doing work. Even if I become a president of a company and make over 200 per year, there's an easier way. And that is, to win it. Win the cash. So my life goal now is to participate in the poker championships and win a good 2.5, win again the next year, and then go on super millionaire and win 10. And then that's it. Then I go get my G2 and drive around in a Diablo and a Vanquish. So that's my new goal... yes yes...
Ya know what I like about the TV show, "24"? If you're out of the room, you can tell when it comes back by the 'heartbeat' sound it makes just before it comes back. I really like that.
Next time you come over, lemme show you a clip from the Dailyshow with Jon Stuart, about why or why not you should allow firearms in bars serving alcohol. Which brings me to another point, which is that realplayer pissed me off today. I was watching clips on the dailyshow site, and then a few hours later I wanted to watch them again but realplayer says the files cannot be played and that I needed new software that they didn't have.
Oh yeah, my computer was crappy this morning. Also, someone or something turned it off, so my download didn't finish - it was bittorrent, but instead of taking another 8 hours, it'll take another 23, so I'll let it download through the night. Anyway, my computer was all screwy this morning and My Computer wouldn't load. But it's all fixed now after several restarts and a chkdisk.
Ahh, a rant. Is it just our computers/internet/network, or sometimes when you load hotmail, does it half-load, and then skip to the page where "it cannot be displayed?" that annoys me.
I really like green grapes!
Today I tried to explain who Strong Bad is to my mom. Well, not just strong bad, but the characters on my desk (I have them all on my desk now) - and after a while, she says, "so it's like the simpsons of the internet, right?" - and ... yeah, that sounds so correct.
Lastly, I'd like to mention an anology which I thought was clever that I read today in Penny Arcade's update - talking about the Nintendo DS that was shown at E3, how it was like a tech demo but not really much about the games. I think it's a good analogy, but unfortunately, I don't have anything to apply the analogy to yet.
...One gets a sense of what they mean. But without a complete game experience, we can only imagine what kinds of things they intend the device to accomplish. It would be like if you saw a giraffe, but had no knowledge of trees. It would just be a large animal with kind of an odd neck that seemed superfluous.
