Expanding Catan and Alan to help GM D20 game
Alright, first and foremost, I talked to Alan yesterday because... well, I'm having trouble GMing - it's a lot of work and frankly, sometimes it's boring work. Also, I also forgot a few things in the previous mission so it'll be nice if someone can remind me about some stuff. So Alan's dropping from the game and he's going to help me GM. I sent him the story and everything... whee, Alan likes spoilers ;) So yeah. I sent him the story so far, and he hasn't responded yet.
What's with this? For the past week, I've been having dreams about exams!! I mentioned the dream where I had 7 exams in one day - before that I had dreams about bad exam scheduling - and today I had a dream where I couldn't find my english exam for the longest time.
Yesterday there was a weird Jeopardy on - power players or something, something about authors - I think one of them was a person who wrote stuff for Reagan. It seemed pretty stupid, but one guy was pretty funny. And then he won too. Yesterday was also a female fear factor. That's all I want to say about that.
CSI Miami was on twice tonight - re-run at 9, new ep at 10, but since I haven't seen the show, they were like new eps to me - except the 2nd one was better. Compared to CSI Las Vegas, it's more... policey. CSI:LV is very scientific which is great, and CSI:M still has a lot of science, with dna and all that - but they don't deal with weird foreign substances like special cream used to treat a specific disease that only a handful of people have, which means guy X was at the crime scene. In CSI:M there's more dedective work - also, the group sometimes gets in trouble themselves. in CSI:M, they use more bullets and trying to figure out where the bullets come from, styrations from the bullets... more police laws they have to deal with like witness protection programs and stuff.
Next week's episode will include a prelude to CSI: New York, starring Gary Sinese. In an episode of CSI:LV, they met with CSI:M, which was pretty cool. While we're on the topic of CSI:M, the Lincoln Navigator has some pretty nifty safety features. But it got that guy in trouble :P
Speaking of cars, there's a car called equinox... so does that mean there'll be a car called skulljagger? That would be... horribly stupid... anyway, moving on..
Over the past few days I saw Madlax 2 and some of 3, some of Baku..Tenshi 3, some more Sailor moon, and Full Metal Alchemist 29-31. 29 is a great episode, 30 is a bit hectic, and 31 is pretty good with a lot of new information. It's building up towards something great...
Also, I followed up on one of my posts and I played some more UT2004 - Duy has been... busy? with other stuff, but I'll get him to play one day. Each time I get him to play Halo, first it takes a while to get him started, but then he really enjoys his time while doing so. Maybe it's the same as his blogging experience.
Anyway... Godlike AI? Impossible! HAAHAHAA... can't beat him. A single one of them... anyway, I tried some other levels in other modes. Mutation mode is fun, as long as you're the mutant first. I found out that the minigun is actually very, very awesome, especially at close range. Everyone dies really quickly to the minigun, compared to the flak cannon and rocket launcher, which were my favourite weapons before trying out the minigun. Well... I still like those weapons, but the minigun is exceptionally great too.
Also tried some Onslaught maps, by myself - and I must say, ONS-Severance kicks ass! The leviathan is pretty godly, The painter with the airstrike is a cool weapon... and if you stand on certain parts of the map, an ion cannon might hit you. And that's cool.
Lastly, today was another personal trainer session. Worked the whole body, a little bit of everything, so I might be pretty sore all over tomorrow morning... well, not thaat badly, so it's okay. I didn't pass out this time ^_^
After that, we went to Square One to do some shopping, Duy and I. We needed to get to Toys Toys Toys by the Bay, and Duy said the quickest route was to go upstairs and then back down, so I followed him... and then he ninjaed me to enter EB first on the way, which caused me to buy Pre-owned Burnout 2 for $24.99. I really like that game. Might not have too much replay value, might be too simple, but overall it's a great game and it's definately fun to watch, but probably more fun to play. It looks pretty crappy in multiplayer with a horrible frame rate, but its single player experience is fun. Plus, it has a quasi-drift ability, which looks cool but isn't a super-real drift.
And then we made our way to Toys Toys Toys and bought the Settlers of Catan 5-6 player expansion. I opened it to check out the contents and read the instructions... should be fun. bigger map, extra characters (green and brown), etc. etc... and since we're basically meeting every saturday, we'll be sure to have enough players everytime.
Anyway, that's it for now.
