2nd post of Sunday May 9th - check below for first post

Hi. I decided to split today's entry into two posts, just to add extra emphasis on the previous post. Christa! Ching! check it out ;) So here's the 2nd of 2 posts. So today I'll talk about yesterday's D20 game, as well as any other stuff that I want to talk about.

First, my msn name was "pre-emptive jeopardy!" for a while, and then I realized I didn't explain it yet. Well, all last week, it was Kid's Week on jeopardy - which means easier, more basic questions which I can probably guess much better than regular questions - not to mention, guess better than some of the kids there too. So there were 3 cases of pre-emptive jeopardy and 1 case of half-pre-emptive.

During the first jeopardy round on... say, Wednesday I think it was, one of the categories was sports. The 2nd clue ($400) was a video jeopardy, and there was this woman, and she was in a bowling alley with a bowling ball in hand. So, pre-emptively, I said "bowling" (which is the equivalent to "what is bowling?"). Then, she threw the ball, and it started veering off to the right. Then, pre-emptively, I said "gutter". Then she proceeded with the answer and said "In bowling, this is the one place that you don't want the ball to go." (so, I got the question before she started to talk).

In the double jeopardy round, the categories were listed out. One of the categories was "Board games", another was something like "Explorers". So, pre-emptively, I said "first clue in Board games would be Monopoly, and first clue in Explorers will be Christopher Columbus." - And... it turns out I was right. Heehee.

Lastly, that day, final jeopardy, before the commercial break, The category was given, and it was "classic movies" or something like that. I pre-emptively guessed Gone with the wind, Duy pre-emptively guessed Wizard of Oz. The guy who was winning said "Gone with the Wind", and he lost his lead - while the other 2 said "Wizard of Oz" and they got it right. So Duy pre-emptively got that one right. And that concludes my topic about pre-emptive jeopardy. It won't work so easily in non-kid's week..

Anime news. Looks like I'm not the only one who likes Bobobo! Speaking of which, I saw episode 4. Don Pachi's back, not as many parties, but he's back! Also, I let David see the first few minutes of episode 2, and he loves it! He really, really likes it. So he'll probably would want to see the rest... so far he saw up to the end of Don Pachi's party.

As for other anime, I've been putting off watching Sailor Moon Live and Full Metal Alchemist. I was thinking I would see FMA with Alan whenever he's here, but lately we haven't had the time to do that. So maybe I should continue watching it on my own... we'll see. I shall continue watching Sailor moon shortly...

Remember reading rainbow? Wasn't that a cool show :P

Anyways, onto the d20 game. It seems the first mission took too long, and the combat wasn't really enjoyed so well. Ray did like shooting infinite rockets and hitting infinite stuff. There was a lot of combat in Wen's campaign, so I decided to put an action-packed adventure into the first mission - yet it didn't work too well.

Also, nobody appreciated the videos that I made, so no more of that. So I no longer need the laptop there... although it would've been cool to play that ironside excerpt (600k) when there are major confrontations, or Santa Esmeralda's 'Don't Let me be misunderstood' during Wen's epic battle.

David missed out on the non-combat part. It would've been longer, but... well, it was late at night (real-life-time) alraedy, since we took so long to get started. It's a good thing I GM-intervented to get rid of all the people in the barracks. Although you could've gotten some nice stuff in the barracks, like weapons, grenades, food, money, a ps2, an xbox, an ace of hearts and an ace of spades. So yeah, non-combat portion would've been longer... but well, Ray caused some trouble (taser'd the guy that was with Suca) and Ricky... well, he got drunk - very drunk. So he was pretty much removed from the game at that point as David was, except somebody had to carry Ricky's body around. So then we just skipped to the end of mission 1, the cliff-hanger portion.

Unfortunately for David, the first 20% of mission 2 might be... well... while not 100% combat, it's not exactly the game that he wants to play - unless you choose a different course of action, of course.

I guess the first part of mission 1 really sucked... now that I think about it, I might've missed something in mission 0 - but that's okay, I'll find a way around it. But anyway, everyone was about to leave area6... if they did that, I probably would've just spoiled the entire story right now and try to make up a new one.

Gotta mix up act 2 a bit... it's not really thaat much combat... it's more like, less combat, harder enemies. But there will be other things... act 3... well, that's not coming up for a while.

Wen's dice are here ;) Ambrose's American Wedding is here as well ;)

Anyway, after the ending of mission 1, we played Settlers of Cattan - Myself, Alan, Ambrose, and David. Eventually, David left and Duy took over, and then Alan left and I gave up my position and played as Alan. We then took pictures of the final standings, but it seems Duy hasn't uploaded them yet - so I'll talk about the game later, probably later today. Anyway, it should be time for breakfast now, so I'll go help prepare it.
