Eh, Steve!
I just remembered a topic I was supposed to mention a few blog entries ago. I just remembered that during my CS330 exam, which started at 7pm (on the thursday), my teacher came into the room at 8pm. She proceeded to write something on the blackboard. And you know whenever a teacher writes something on the blackboard, it's important. Maybe it's a mistake on the exam, or sometimes it just says "2 hours left". So she wrote down: "Flyers 1, Leafs 0". I thought that was kinda neat.
AHH, we have a curfew for bed time nowadays... so I only have 40 minutes left to write stuff before I gotta head to bed. So I might save my dreams for a later topic... although I've had 4 dreams during the past few days, 2 of which I really want to talk about (one of them is about a party, one of them is about d20, and 2 of them are about casinos ;) )
So the other day I was back at home at the Rothesay address, rummaging through the basement for stuff to bring to the new house, and ya know what I found? I found an unopened letter from my friend Maja, from August 2001! That's pretty crazy, eh? So I open it, and it's another one of her monthly remix CDs which I was getting for about a year. I haven't actually listened to too many of those cds though, but yeah... it was weird to find an unopened letter.
Initial D 4th stage is out. Well, at least what there is of it. In case you didn't bother reading about its release schedule, I'll repeat it again. It's pretty ugly. 2 episodes, every 2 months, until April 2005 when it'll release eps 13 and 14. So I've seen episodes 1 and 2, so it'll be a long wait for anymore eps. So far, it's pretty good. Nothing amazingly amazing, but still pretty good. I guess the cars look better...
Saw 7 more episodes of CSI Las Vegas, season 2. It's sooo addictive!! Hahaha. I love this show. Saw a few good cases, and a few disturbing cases as well... eww... but yeah. Super show.
I'll be making a bit of money during the next few weeks, doing some work for my mom. I'll probably buy a dvd burner and dvd-r's. If I have too much left over (yeah right), maybe I'll blow it on the 3 seasons of CSI... heh.
I have a defective corner on my dice lid. My dice tube, when you push up on the corners of the lid, because of the hardness of the lid, the lid would pop up. But not one corner. For some reason, it's bendable, so pushing it from the bottom bends it, rather than pops the lid open... :(
My sister rented a movie, a romantic teen comedy, "Win a date with Tad Hamilton". It wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't amazingly terrible. C+? B-? I dunno, but I give out pretty generous marks. But the one amazing thing in the movie... at one point, "Tad" is at a party and he says "Eh, Steve!" So that was the coolest part of the movie. That part of the movie gets an A+, the rest varies between C+ and B-. Stars some girl from "Blue Crush", some other people, the star of "That 70s show", and after the movie, we realized the girl's dad is the host of America's Funniest Videos.
Also saw "The Life of David Gale" - I would have to give it a D+/C-. It's not very good, even with Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslet. Interesting ending, but I must say it was kinda predictable. Well, not the veery end, but the pre-ending. Very ending isn't too surprising either.
Hmm... I'll write about the dreams later. At least a few of them... I really like the d20/russian/mask dream and the party/mike-jones/paint dream.
Lastly, it's April 26 now, which means it's Duy's birthday. Happy Birthday Duy!
Anyway, he's having a party! It's scheduled for Saturday May 1st, most likely. You'll probably get an e-mail or a phone call about this in the future. And... bring presents! Presents are cool. Chip in to buy something big, or bring presents, or something. Ray! Bring UT2K4!
Lastly...again... lastly... so it's Monday April 26th now, the party will be Saturday May 1st, and the first D20 game is on Saturday May 8th. If you don't have your character stuff ready yet, try to get it ready early - bring necessary items on the 1st, and try to fill out the character sheet at the party or ... whatever. Also, so far I only know 2 backstories of the characters, and I'd prefer if I know more.
We'll probably start early on May 8th, to make sure everyone has their character done, and things like that. People who are new to D&D/D20 games should get acquainted to it, etc. etc... and then we'll have a smooth game. So send me backstories! Tell me about your characters, and your backstories. Yes yes.
