Burning Blockbuster Ninjas - Multiplayer!
(now listening to a shortened version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, starting from "Mama" until the part before "I see a silhouette" - cuz I like this part)
Once again, I'm going to skip writing my dreams. Luckily, this morning, my dreams were pretty... bland, so no point writing them. But I still want to talk about some of the other dreams I mentioned last blog topic. But I'll do that later. Hopefully.
So my friend on msn tells me about Metroid Prime 2, coming out in November - and it's Multiplayer! Multiplayer in a metroid game. You can see some screenshots at http://www.1up.com... and it looks pretty good. Not sure how well multiplayer will be, but multiplayer's always a good addition to a game. So I must say I really want this game.
Anyway, jogged around the neighbourhood today and ended up at Blockbuster. Now, a few weeks ago we picked up a flyer, which had a deal: for $24.99, you can rent infinite # of games (any game, any amount of time), with 2 games at most at a time, for 1 month. Compared to the price to rent 5 games, this deal was definately worth it. So, we walk into blockbuster, pick out 2 games, and head over to ask about the deal.
No more deal. Turns out, it wasn't for the summer, but it was an experimental promotion. Some people started, and they can continue doing it, but new sign-ups were over. They said it was pretty successful, so it might come back, but it's not happening now. So, Blockbuster Ninjaed us out of the deal. So we'll see what happens, if we'll rent something anytime or not... dunno.
Anyway, lastly, I took Raymond's advice, and got me a dvd burner, the same one Raymond has - the LG super multi omni drive or whatever it's called. Anyway, now I need Raymond's omni software so I can burn more easily. But for now, it seems to work okay enough. The software user interface isn't as pretty as Roxio 5, or at least the Roxio my aunt has. I should take that.
Anyway, the dvd burner replaces the cd-rw drive on my computer - so my black dell computer suddenly has a white 2nd-bay cd drive. It's like a zebra... or an inverted zebra... or like, an oreo cookie. Then again, my speakers and woofer are also non-black, so... it's not abnormal or anything.
Hmm... I have time to write a dream... but I'm not sure if I want to take the effort. But sure, why not. The d20/russian/mask dream was pretty omni, but I think it's longer than the Mike-Jones/paint dream. So I'll just write the Mike-Jones party dream. Or maybe not. Nah... it's 1:15 now, gotta sleep in 20 minutes. Actually, I wanna pose a question. About Mannerisms.
Have you picked up many mannerisms lately? I've found I pick up a lot of mannerisms, ways of doing stuff, different phrases, and then I start using them in daily conversation:
From Alan, I received the suffix "sir". Hello Alan Sir. Hello Wen sir. On msn, I also started adding sir, and mixing it around to sire and every now and then, shire, although it doesn't make any sense. From Ambrose, I got the "eyes face top right or left, stroke chin" - when coming up with sneaky ideas. Like Homer Simpsons' "...unless..." . From Vu, I started saying "aight" instead of alright. From Jia, I started doing a lot of "ding ding ding ding".... what have you guys picked up?
Oh yeah, I just remembered one more thing. On Alan's blog, he once posed the question "what would happen if you were driving, and then a guy purposely jumps in front of you, and you kill/injure him? Who's fault is it?" - Well, from watching a certain CSI episode, if the guy purposely jumps out, then that guy is at fault, not the driver. So... yeah. Saw more CSI. I average 3-4 episodes of CSI a day, until I'm done watching season 2, since we borrowed it from my sister's friend. Saw a pretty scary case today, and a few good cases and such.
