Vengefully waving and poking at birds on top of the mountain...

Okay, solved a few more cases of CSI, done 4 cases now. I was gonna post more detail about them, but nobody cares. So, continuing on.

Today was shopping day. And it was a half-disappointing shopping day too... well... actually, it was a double-disappointing shopping day. Didn't get what I wanted, and... got... something... but... wasn't expecting such ... crap. So read on.

Around 3:20, Wen came by, and for about an hour we talked about d20 stuff, so then we went shopping at 4:30 or so. Went to Conestoga mall, because I wanted to go to the Dufferin Games there and buy the poker chips that my friend has... the nice clay ones, variety of colours, $35/100 chips. I know the dufferin games store in Erin Mills Town Centre is long gone, and my Mississauga contact (umm... Jody) informed me that Square One no longer has a Dufferin Games store. I suppose other hobby/game stores would do, but still... they might not have the exact brand.

So, just my luck, Conestoga didn't have a Dufferin Games store anymore either, but they have a "That Game Store" - and they had poker chips, but not the ones I wanted. They had $60 clay ones, which didn't seem as nice, and they had $8 plastic ones. Anyway, I decided that I at least needed a few chips for the game, so if I can't find nice chips by then, I should at least have some. So I bought 100 plastic chips, and also bought 3 decks of cards. Well, I lied, I bought 1 deck of cards on Tuesday, that's for the poker. And I bought 2 decks of cards today, that's just for fun, and now we finally have the right cards for Beast Hearts, so that's good. And they're brand new, so it'll feel nice.

Next, went to Shoppers Drug Mart (see Alan's blog waay in the future) and then to Yogen Fruz (see Wen's blog... maybe not though), and then we went to Electronics Boutique.

(Okay, so I just messaged Toan, and he said in that store, they do sell the chips that he has, except usually run out of them, so next time I should call them beforehand).

Anyway, at Initial D, we looked around for a bit, and we spot... Initial D: Mountain Vengeance, for computer, for $20! Has the Tokyopop name on it, and... well, valusoft, unfortunately. Graphics look... kinda like the show. 1st stage. but not as good. but, it was Initial D, so I had to try it! Here's the GameFaqs message board for it. Yes, it's THAT bad. But there are some good points to it - it's customizable, in the way Red Alert is customizable from graphics to physics and all that. So it's kinda funny when you make it so that when you initiate a drift, you basically just clear a corner automatically. And you can customize the graphics and put in your own spectators and change textures and music and everything.

So it has some kinda play-value now..

Anyway, last but not least, Alan chipped in $20 for us to buy a Wavebird controller. A nice platinum one. We should try it... tomorrow.

::edit:: oh yeah. dinner. dinner was sushi. it was good. :: end edit ::
