Something old, something new
Actually, that was my entire post for about 5 minutes, but now I'm updating a bit more on today's events, after Ambrose and Alan left for the grad dinner. Duy, Jason and I went to Fiasco's, since Duy and I were there for lunch the other day and it's comparable to Mel's; Fiasco's Lunch is much better value than Mel's for the most part, and Fiasco's dinner is relatively comparable. Today for dinner, I tanked one of the top 5 expensive things on the menu, the Stuffed Chicken; Jason opted for the Chicken Caesar so it was decided that Duy would try the fish and chips. Actually, we all shared our meals and we split the bill equally amongst each other.
Stuffed Chicken comes with a side, and the Fish and chips is actually Fish and a side. Anyway, the order took a while to come, so we discussed Duy's chocolate project for a while. Many suggestions came up, like chocolate injected fruit, steak/fries/potatoes shaped chocolate, chocolate lego, the previously discussed chocolate/peanut butter covered banana-flavoured white chocolate, and then we came up with a final product... Arthurian Legendary chocolate!
Well, no, but going with the playable chocolate blocks idea, we went with Chocolate collectible card games - people buy the chocolate, which are cards, and some people eat them and some people play with them. The drawings would be made with chocolate and dark chocolate and white chocolate and peanut butter and nuts and things, etc. etc...
Anyway, then came the meal. Duy says the fish and chips are similar to Mel's, except here it comes with some vegetables (nice ones too; broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peppers and zucchini) - and I haven't had Mel's fish and chips, but I liked the ones at Fiasco's. I'd definately have fish and chips again, although the better value would be going for lunch - though dinner is comparable with Mel's.
Stuffed chicken was good (it's like a cordon bleu, with spinach and cheese kinda filling) - with a side, and those vegetables again as well. The quality is excellent, but I'm not sure if it's worth the $12.99. Fish and chips were monster portions too, and they're cheaper, so unless you want to try to stuffed chicken (it's good, but expensive), then... yeah. And Jason's chicken caesar was great - large, good chicken, etc. So we all shared each other's meals, and after taxes and tip we came to $14 each.
Yesterday, A/A/D visited the candy store, so I wanted to go again, and I wanted to try some chocolate. Some rather expensive chocolate you don't find in usual stores. I was about to spend a good $13, but then only decided for $7.08 on 4 chocolate bars:
Reese's Nutrageous, Rocky Road, Hershey's Whatchamacallit, and Twix - PB and Chocolate. Not worth it, but it's the price of curiousity. I've sampled each bar already, and they're... okay. Wouldn't buy Nutrageous again, feels like Oh Henry. Rocky Road is pure marshmallow sugar chocolate, Whatchamacallit is interestingly okay, and the familiar Twix is still awesome. We were gonna buy a tanking chocolate bar called "YORKIE", and the labeled said "Definately not for girls." For a while we didn't know what that meant, until Jason looked at the calories it gives. Tankage. So we decided not to try it.
Anyway, we came back home, and prior to leaving we played some UT2004 (before David asks, that's Unreal Tournament), but only 1 player, and ... well, let's just say it would be more fun with more players. ALTHOUGH... some 1 player stuff is funny as hell. YEAH. Anyway, we installed it on Alan's computer, so when we got back Jason and I played a few games.
Jason's pretty good. He beat me a few times, and ... yeah. That's about it. Great game, definately has potential. And pretty hilarious too. Took some great videos. So yeah, that was a lot of fun.
And then after Jason left, we
