Kirikou is small in size, but he is wise...
KIRIKOU! This afternoon in the History of Animation class, we saw a French film called Kirikou and the Sorceress. I must tell ya, it's fantastic. The animation is very well done, music, english dubbing, everything is pretty good. Story is great, ending is a bit "FROM WHERE??" but other than that, it's a good movie - 75 minutes long. It's not your everyday disney or anime piece, so it's pretty refreshing.
My teacher says this film is rare to get... I think. Or another film was rare to get, or this one is new on dvd - so I checked it out on Amazon.ca, and it's there, and it's friggin cheap too. So I'm gonna get it for sure.
You can see a trailer at Kirikou.net, although... it doesn't look as great in the tiny little, low-resolution trailer.
It's a very well done movie. I highly recommend seeing it if you get the chance. and since I "most likely" will buy it, you'll get the chance :) If you want, I can give you a brief synopsis.
