Done!

Well... I didn't actually do much more work on the essay, but I think I'm done now. However... I'm a bit scared, cuz after looking at the essay guidelines, I'm not sure if my essay is totally what they want... its scope might be too broad and everything is too generalized... so hopefully it won't be too bad.

Duy hasn't updated his journal for a long time, and he hasn't replied to any of my posts, but I think he reads them sometimes. So as I updated for Alan last time, I'll update for Duy this time.

So I've been playing a lot more FFXI. And I've been staying up late playing FFXI and thus I usually don't wake up to go to Logic, and then I sleep in more and I don't go to Calculus either. However, I think Alan sometimes wakes me up to go to Stats, so I can't tank that. Well, I wish I could, but Alan makes me wake up, so I don't miss labs and stuff.

So... I've been playing a lot more FFXI. That's about it.

So that ends his journal entry. Back to my journal entry... so you all know I love poker, and Ambrose and David have displayed a bit of interest in it. And for me to fully enjoy poker, it would be nice if I can play with my friends casually too. So, instead of everyone messaging me on how to play and how to bet, I made a generic webpage with all the rules and some strategies. Please take a look!

After finishing this text, I decided that I really wanted to play poker! So I got Duy and Alan and Jason to play poker. We didn't have poker chips, so instead we used chocolate chips, pretz sticks, and viva puffs. Each (white) chocolate chip was worth 1 chip, pretz were worth 4, and viva puffs 10. Small blind was 1, there was no big blind. Betting limits were 2-2-4-4. We started each with 25 chocolate chips, 4 pretz sticks and 2 viva puffs. For the first little while, viva puffs were pretty useless cuz you couldn't trade them... oh that reminds me, I have food in the basement. ^_^

Anyway, we added a new rule - every 4 rounds, we have to eat 10 units of our stuff. So that was fun. After Alan lost, we decided to play no-limit. It's so intimidating when someone raises a vivapuff. So scary.

But overall, it was a good time, and there were some really nice bluffs and some other nice wins. Next time we might use real poker chips, but that was a great time for the time being.

I should play some CSI soon... but right now I'm talking with Ambrose about HK poker flicks.

So we'll be home this weekend. While my last class is... Thursday, I think? Cuz I have art classes... I guess we can come home thursday night, or friday night, depending on what the plans are. Then one of these days I have to get myself to Square One and buy poker chips, and then on Saturday we'll have a mini-tutorial game of poker. It should be fun, as long as we have 4+ people.

That's all for this update. It's better if I do smaller updates rather than large updates... my 3 page, 7 sectioned topic which received 5 or 7 comments cannot compete against Christa's 1/2 page 'anticipation' post which received 49. So... nice and short is better than cumbersome and long. tata for now.
