"Peach... I can eat a peach for minutes."
... dream.
DONKEY KONG DREAM! What is the source for this dream? Well, Duy keeps mentioning DK's unwieldness and ability to slide off clouds, no vertical, etc etc... and last night in Alan's room, we mentioned some Donkey Kong thing, and Jeffoo also msned Alan and screamed out something about Donkey Kong. So... with all this, I had an inspiration to have a Donkey Kong dream, or something. So there are 2 parts of the dream, I don't think they were connected other than both having some kinda DonkeyKongism in them.
The short dream: Duy, Ambrose and I were in a supermarket, near the checkout lines. I think we were going to win something... or not.. probably not. So we're looking at the back of a cereal box, and there's a chance to win Donkey Kong Country for GBA, or some new cel-shaded Donkey kong game, for GBA. So I tell them, "I so want Donkey Kong Country!!" and then they tell me about how they heard the new cel-shaded game is pretty damn awesome, and that they wanted it, so I had to reconsider my choice.
Damn... our internet suxx0rs right now. Anyway..
... Dream 2! Anyway, as a background story, Vu and Jeff want to come over today to play some Capcom vs SNK, so this dream involves Vu and Jeff. So we were at some guy's house, presumably Jeff's house, but it looks different of course. Darrin was there, or some guy that looked like Darrin, and they were playing... probably that cel-shaded donkey kong game, on the game cube... well, on the TV, and the graphics look at least like Donkey kong Country, but more celshaded, so I think it was for the gamecube.
So the gameplay was pretty similar to Donkey Kong Country, kinda... I noticed that he took a lot of barrels and threw them into walls and found secret rooms. So he did this a lot. Sometimes the hole he made would spit out another barrel and he would avoid it and go into the hole anyway. Also, at some parts of the game you can play as a fish.
So we asked him if he already beat the game 100%, and he says "yeah, but I'm playing it again." So anyway, he gives me the controller for me to try one of the fish missions. I don't actually remember much of the mission, but I remember the boss. The boss was ... it reminds me of that really scary fish in Finding Nemo, the one with the lantern on his attenna. So at the end of the level, he comes from the left side of the screen, and I'm at the right side.
As the fight goes on, the colours of the screen kinda go bonkers, I guess the bad guy's energy lantern is causing it. So... I was a little fish, and if I got hit, I would die. But every now and then he would spit out this stationary big fish, and if I was touching that big fish, I would grow bigger, thus increasing how much life I had, my attack strength, but also, the chance to hit me was greater because I was bigger.
I could draw a picture of the boss fight if you want.
So I found out his pattern pretty early. When he's not charging an energy beam, you come up close to his lantern, and I would automatically start biting the lantern. When he is charging, I move down, so to not get hit by his energy beam. And every now and then, I stay by the stationary fish (that comes and goes) and get bigger again. And then I beat him.
So then it's almost time to go back home, but I'm thirsty. So I spy a small milk container, empty, and a big, huge milk container. So I think to myself, I should pour something from the huge one to the small one, so I can drink milk. But then I thought that would be too much effort, so I should just go home and drink milk there.
And then the phone rang. Since it wasn't my house, I didn't want to answer it first, but the others were busy playing a game. So I pick up the phone, and I can barely hear what's happening, so I say "may I ask who's speaking?" And the person on the end says "Bui", or something like that. So I think that's Dave Bui, so I give the phone to... Vu... i think... but at the time his name was David, so I gave the phone to David, and transfer all the responsibility of the call to him.
Then I leave. The End.
Copy... Paste... hopefully internet will be nice to me.
*tries to open new ie window... nope, no internet*. Anyway, it's 11:20 now. We'll see when this gets posted. Copies... Notepad... Pastes... save - dkdream.txt.
