Okay! Time for incoherent reading week blog update!

So, everyone has been putting off a totally specific recollection of what happened during reading week (like, in the circle of friends that I saw during reading week - Christa had a nice update though). So as a spur of the moment, and after reading Christa's update, I thought I should update on reading week. I'll probably head to bed in 20 minutes, so I don't want to study for the next few minutes. Of course, I don't want to think too much, so this entry might be somewhat.. incoherent? or unorganized, or whatever. So here we go...

Skip monday. Monday and weekend prior was like, preparation for reading week events. So, Tuesday comes along.

Tuesday around noon, Ambrose (U of W, on co-op) arrives with Jia (McMaster, reading week) and David (UTM, reading week). Ambrose is a Waterloo veteran, Jia has been here enough times, and David is totally new to Waterloo. And David has always been going on about how UTM is crap and UW is much better, and he always wanted to visit so during this quasi-reading week would be the best time to do so. So here he was now. Unfortunately, he couldn't spend all his time touring waterloo or having fun and games, as he also had some work to do, but oh well.

So that afternoon, Duy and Alan and Jason had a midterm, so for the first few hours while David and co. was here, David studied a bit, Ambrose and I and Jia played some smash, and etc... anyway, I had a journal entry where I wrote about what we planned to do with David (as you can tell, this visit was mostly an experience for David, and I wanted to try to make it a good experience) - so... yeah. So after a bit of gaming, we had to choose a place for lunch.

Long story short, we decided to go to Taj Palace, the indian cuisine restaurant not 3 minutes away, right across the street. I knew the lady that worked there, cuz I went there often when the store was Chester's fried chicken. I don't know her first name though, but we chit chat every now and then. Anyway, so us 7 or 8 had some fast meals there, and it was fun. Then Duy and Alan and Jason went off to study at the math building, and David came too, as he also toured some of the other buildings around the math building.

Anyway, around 4:15, Duy and Alan and Jason went off to their exam, and I took David to... well, original plan was to look around campus, but instead we went to the Cove, the arcade, where the amazingest of all games was: The Drum Game. Meanwhile, Ambrose and Jia were playing Savage Eden back at our place.

David and I spent a good 100 minutes at the cove. We played the drum game mostly, some DDR, some other dancing game... I tried the guitar game, it pwned me good. There were a few other people there, like the two girls, who were pretty good at games, and kinda hot as well ;) So we couldn't hog the drum game to ourselves, but long story short, I got David addicted to the drum game. Hehe. Mission Accomplished? Perhaps... now we need to buy the drum game for home... someone wanna gimme $8600 cdn? ;)

Anyway, so we went back and we ran into Duy Jason and Alan on the way back to home. We also took pictures of some parts of the campus, and the sky... I should post a few pics here maybe later... nothing too interesting though. Maybe the food that night was good.

~6:15 - We're back at home, just chillin. Hmm... what happens now.. not sure, so I'll fast forward to dinner time.

Mongolian Grill. $15, all you can eat. I've never been to Mongolian Grill, so this was a good experience for me. It's great. Unfortunately, for some reason, I wasn't very hungry that day, so I only ate 2 bowls of stuff :( hmm... gotta be more hungry next time. But it was a great experience, and we had some good conversations over dinner too.

Then... that pretty much sums up Tuesday. It's 1:25 now, and I said I'll go to bed maybe... 1:35? I should get ready for bed... but first I'll do Wednesday.

I don't remember much of Wednesday - I remember going to my 10:30 class while the other 2 tanked it, and I remember missing my 1:30 class, due to lunch complications. We were going to have sushi for lunch, cuz the sushi here is pretty damn good - nice and fresh, and I kinda know the guy who works there too... well, I probably don't, but he's really nice and usually gives us free sushi sometimes, but I don't think this time it was as free. Miso soup was good. Sushi was good. Anyway, we didn't get sushi until later, so I had to miss class for that.

Uhh... I forget what happens then. :P Let's fast forward to Dinner. Mel's Diner. Wen was able to join us this time, but not Jason. So we had a pretty good meal there too. David ordered a bunch of little things, that was interesting. And then afterwards, around 9:20, it was time to go back to 'Sauga. Oh yeah, that reminds me, Ambrose couldn't spend the night on Tuesday, so he left a bit after dinner. So then we went back to Mississauga, mom drove. Jia slept over. Now comes Thursday, but unfortunately, now also comes bed time.

Good night!
