5 Drums

I'm sure writing a lot of entries over the past 20 hours.. cuz... i guess I missed most of last week so I'm making up for it now. But my friend Amish just reminded me of the lottery, and I just had a class so I might as well have another adequately sized update.

5 Drums is the name of a level in Super Monkey Ball 2, but this update has nothing to do with SMB2.

So.. my uncle bought a lottery ticket, a Super 7, $32.5 million lottery thingy. Unfortunately, he only got 5 of the 7 numbers, so he won 150 bucks. aww... so close... yet so far. Other 2 numbers he was missing, if I remember correctly, were 6 and 30. Darn... with so much money... ahhh... I would've bought the drum game. Yeah, I think of little things :P haha.

Which ties into my next topic, the Drum Game. "The Drum Game", Bao's official nickname to "Drummania ___th mix", is back at the Cove (UW Arcade) now, upgraded from Version 6 to Version 7. So today I went and I played 3 games (so I spent $3), and learned new songs and stuff. My verdict?

It's not as good as 6th mix. I'm sure there are more songs, perhaps better songs, from all these refinements from version to version, but 6th mix has a better feel to it. Graphically, I feel 6th mix is better; 7th might be more vibrant, but the icons/sprites, like the 'lifebar' and the actual 'notes' you have to hit, looked much better in 6th mix.

And only the software has been upgraded. The drum machine is still the same as it was before, so it has detoriated over time and some of the pads are harder to hit than others. It'd be nice if they replace the main machine or get it very repaired, but that's probably to expensive to do.

So... Number Theory class. Today, we were gonna learn some proof of some theorem, which uses one of Gauss's Lemmas, but my teacher said on Friday he read a new proof by S.Y. Kim which was just published in some mathematician's magazine, so we learned that proof instead. So... we learned something new.

Oh, and on the weekend I learned what a 'bidet' (sp?) is.
